RTT...20-20 hindsight.

Before I forget this one. Last week I sneezed and felt it in my back. Over the course of the rest of the afternoon my head/sinuses started hurting more and more. I eventually accepted this is how I find out that I had a tumor or something. Then I had an urge to blow my nose, so I did. And everything started feeling better again. #GettingOld

Yeah, don't joke about that.

We have a family that we are friends with. The husband was having some issues and went in to the doctor last Friday. They discovered a mass on his brain and did emergency surgery the next morning (luckily operable). They removed a tumor the size of a red plum (kind of specific description I thought). Yesterday they declared that it was cancerous so I'm not sure what is next for him. Hopefully out of ICU on Tuesday.

I know, we all joke about it, I was just kidding. Just saying it definitely hit home here. Praying for good health for you.

I know. I am also inclined to jump to the worst mentally so my mind definitely went there as I laid on the couch trying to figure out what was going on.

On a happier note.

We were finally all home at the same time yesterday afternoon and after we got back from taking the dogs for a walk we hung out on the driveway with each kid doing different stuff. Everyone was enjoying the beautiful weather, the time together and just having fun. That was pretty awesome.

Needing to wish the ISU men good luck. Need to make the semifinals so we can at least watch them. We are heading down for Friday’s games for sure. My kids are grouping together and heading down for Thursday’s game if they can make it that far.

Just a thought. We joke about it because it's a part of our life. We are firm believers in the theory that humor and positive outlooks impact healing. If you don't laugh, you cry.

I was talking to a friend about how radiation treatment turned me into a complete zombie, his wife laughed and then apologized. I said not to worry about it, I laughed about it as well.

When people talk about trying to lose weight I tell them the cancer diet worked great for me.

I’m not a fan of roundabouts, but Algona could use a few of them
The first roundabout in the state is on my street literally a block away. I am so glad it is there instead of a four way stop. I would be stopping there two or more times every single day. The way it is I probably have had to come to a complete stop there less than 50 times in the 20+ years I have lived here.

I believe Algona stoplights are motion detected. And when they detect motion, they turn red I think.

On the other side of me there is a T intersection with one stop sign. People generally don't stop at the stop sign and some people appear to almost be losing control to make sure they don't slow down at all despite having to turn left or right. When did stop signs become optional?
