They guard a little better. They do a lot of grab ass and otherwise play at a snails pace which kind of embellished their defensive metrics in my opinion
As frustrating as this season has been at times, this year's ISU team will finish with a maximum of eight losses, which I believe is tied for third-fewest in program history (excepting all the seasons many decades ago when only ~20 games were played).
Good for Fred. And I like the thought of that program dwarfing the one in Iowa City and him being at the helm while that happens.

Also, Since field expanded to 64 in 1985, it's only the 8th season with single-digit losses.
Can’t argue too much with that. I personally think I’d have punished UConn more for the loss at Marquette but it is what it is.
Disclaimer: I watched Minessale only once (Saturday night), but I would say he is not a big 12 player.

I'd have UConn after us and Sparty, but whatever, voters.
We'd play Tech on Thursday now, not KU. But I think 2 wins in KC likely gets us a 2 seed because I can't see us getting penalized for losing to Arizona again.
Oh shoot. I thought we were locked in to play KU going into the weekend. I would have been confused come the second game.

Just watch, the committee will find a way to jump 8 & 9 based on the conference tournament (that they said didn't matter when we won ours).
On the coach’s personality alone UConn should be dropped more in the rankings. And it’s always perplexing when a team that lost to the team directly below them gains a higher rank.
