***2026-27 Mens College Basketball Thread***

If any of you have been on CycloneFanatic.com for a while you know that I am a proud dual ISU/UNI fan.

Not ashamed to let the board know that I was sobbing tears of joy at the end of the UNI game. Just a huge accomplishment for that team to win four games in four days like that after an underachieving regular season.

I love March for the tournament, and I love it even more when my two favorite teams are playing in it.

Congrats. I like it when Drake or UNI is in the NCAA tournament. One more team to root for.

I'm a UNI grad myself ('15) and didn't realize how much I've missed seeing them make the dance. It's always Iowa State first for me, thanks to my Dad for that ('78) but then there isn't another team/ school i like to see have success more than UNI.

What a choke by Queens. No one seems to know that you can dribble the ball on press break

And Navy losing is good for ISU. That’s a team that will be in the 14-15 seed range. Makes it easier now

I hate when stuff like this happens, because it tends to water down those first few days of the tournament. But i don't mind a potentially easier game for ISU

Another 1 seed goes down! Congrats to Queens, a D2 teams just 5 years ago. Enjoy Dayton lol

Central Arkansas was maybe a 15 seed so again, helpful

today? they've been extremely pedestrian for over a month now
I used to be scared of them, but they're no longer that scary IMO. They seem to be perpetually banged up, not sure if they're missing anyone currently. Cohesion has probably been an issue for them, even if they are healthy now

They haven't beaten anyone with a pulse in 5 weeks. Their wins are Indiana, Oregon and USC in that timeframe. With 4 losses.
