Not sure if that's something planned, but they used to have name plates. So based on Tang's comments I wouldn't be shocked.Did Tang take the last names off the jerseys?

I believe the youths call this “quiet quitting”Players doing the scout? Like the coaches didn't give a scouting report?
Exactly. The Iowa job isn’t regarded the same way it was when Lute and TD were there. The league has changed, and the era of NIL/portal has changed the landscape for all. They still get kids from Illinois although not Michigan or California that much anymore and their names aren’t Lester or Marble or Armstrong or Gamble. Their facilities are meh at best. BM’s system offensively is very intricate to run and they are benefiting from six guys including their best player having been in that system for 1-3 years already. They’re better at things Fran’s teams weren’t- defense mainly- just because of emphasis of the new coach. But will it matter? Is there enough $ in that athletic department after football, wrestling, and WBB to add the horses you need. Kelvin has horses and yet a week ago he grumbled to the media about Houston’s athletic department not spending the $ to get who they need. I’m not sure bringing Wooden back from the grave would get Iowa mbb over the hump in this era.Let’s wait and see on Iowa. This off-season will really tell us a lot on Ben’s ability to recruit.
A lot of their wrestling fans say they've dropped wrestling already.Exactly. The Iowa job isn’t regarded the same way it was when Lute and TD were there. And us older folks call it ROTJ - Retiring On The Job.I believe the youths call this “quiet quitting”
Valid points that point to how rapid college sports are changing financially since the NIL rulings. The advantage in-state that Iowa had over ISU with far more dollars coming into their budget will have to be dumped into football if they want to hang with Michigan, Ohio State and the few other heavy weights at the expense of their other programs. The Big 12 is more balanced in football without a true established core of bluebloods at the top so ISU can be competitive in-conference without dumping all their money into the sport. Basketball takes less money to be a top contender and ISU has been able to maintain that position and will going forward.Exactly. To his credit, he outscored the other Kansas team yesterday.Saw Jerome took the L today, such is life.
Was surprised they covered the spread at UH.To his credit, he outscored the other Kansas team yesterday.
Look-ahead for UH.Was surprised they covered the spread at UH.
Tang’s guys clearly haven’t given up on him. Needs an extension to assure recruits he’s not going anywhere.
Sampson dabbled knowing A) They could sleepwalk and still beat the Tangcats and B) They face a real team on Monday.Look-ahead for UH.
Face it, Kane went through him. He recognized that the flop took him out of legal guarding position so he just drove through him. With Kane just casually stepping past him...

I'm curious if these things actually lead to sustained changes or if yesterday was just the dead cat bounce and they return to not caring in a game or two.Names off the jerseys is a classic coaching move.....similar to a "players only meeting"
Both in the playbook of sounds good at a press conference or for color commentators to talk about, probably doesn't move the needle much on outcomes
