*** Official Baylor vs #7 IOWA STATE Game(Day) Thread ***

It wasn't that bad. Toure was a disaster and we have to be better at FTs but Baylor nailed 3 threes late that will makeup points fast.

Did enough to win.
TJ benched Toure for a long time for some of his lazy passes and he came in and immediately took the ball from the Baylor player and scored. That started our run to stretch the lead. Like that reaction to sitting for Toure.

what happened in the last few minutes of the game? ESPN game flow had isu up 72 to 58 with 2min left. what the hell happened? could isu have lost this game at the end or did Baylor make a shot to end the game?

I wouldn't call Toure's play a disaster, but he obviously made freshman mistakes. Also had a huge, gamechanging play.

Terrible performance. Like, about as poorly as we can play to end the game.

Motivation is a thing.
Honestly, other than a couple spurts, we didn’t play well the whole game. Lost the TO battle, ball movement, free throws, defensive intensity.

They did hit a semi wild 3 when we were up 72-66. That’s a most likely miss and if that happens we win by probably 8. It was not good but I wasn’t worried about actually losing the game.

Baylor was hitting crazy contested 3s for most of the game. If they were not hitting those we win by 25-ish points, even if we didn't play great. The team is gonna have to play really well and limit mistakes the rest of the way with a brutal schedule coming up.

Yeah, Baylor not a good team. But it shows you what a team with nothing to lose can do. We are the hunted after all. Gonna get everybody’s best shot for two months.

Purdue struggled at home and barely beat Oregon, Kansas has been struggling with Utah at home for awhile, **** happens. Not ideal obviously but it’s one game, TJ will have them focused. I would nervous to be TCU
It’s almost like they’re 20 to 23 year old kids…..

They showed TJ after the Milan lazy pass turnover and I thought his head was going to explode.

Drew might not sleep well thinking about these 2 sequences in a 3-point loss:

1) Drew's technical foul in the 1st half.
2) Baylor letting ISU run the clock down from 39 seconds to 18 seconds before fouling Lipsey.

This exactly what this team needed. Starting with the lazy pass from Milan, TJ will run the tape over and over on how not to close out games. With the big teams coming up, they’ve got to learn how to value the ball in tough, close games.
They still using tape?
