Not exactly sure.
One month in and been a pretty good run so far for the general stock market.

What are people looking at and keeping an eye on?

im waiting for the plug to be pulled but not holding breath.....

If we keep using data and whatnot.

Some guy was saying we need to mine the same amount of copper in the next 15 years that we have done in the previous 10,000 years

Have some CDs coming due, might look at buying some recreational land. Stock markets seems inflated but it just keeps chugging along.

Have a feeling most mining has been done the last couple hundred years.

Hard to say when EVERYTHING seems overpriced. Stocks high PE, Bonds relatively low rates, gold sky high, etc. What looks like a deal? Emerging markets? Rental property? Farmland? Art? Baseball cards?

Personally, I expect an AI deflation of some kind. Might be a temporary thing, but I think pricing is way out ahead of reality. I could see OpenAI have some kind of issue, spread to one of their crossholdings, and then a sharp pullback of momentum. If half of the Mag10 dropped 25-50% it wouldn't shock me.

I have been trying to rebalance some. More international, less Mag10, and more of the other S&P 490. I use index funds a lot, and realized my ~25% in SP500 was actually more like 11% in the Mag10 and I didn't love that concentration in something with such a high PE. Felt not near as diversified as thought.

I am going to add a little to my IRA....right now I am between Microsoft and Amazon. I have ETFs already but wanting to add some single stocks. I did Google a couple years back before their shares split...pretty good return on that!

Microsoft has been hit pretty good the last few days, I am leaning that way.

Buying the power providers to the datacenters (and hyperscalers) - $WULF, $APLD, $GLXY, $IREN, $BE, etc. They're locking up long-term contracts (10 - 15 year agreements) with the Coreweaves, NVIDIAs, Metas, OpenAIs, Googles, Microsofts, etc. of the world. I'm banking on the governmental red tape (site approvals, permits, etc.) being a significant enough barrier to entry for competitors that I can at least ride the initial wave up (next 10 years).

They've all had significant price appreciation in the last 12 months, but I think the 'value' of these companies is still being digested/ understood. For example, APLD currently has $11B in contracted revenue from these supply agreements but is valued at a ~$10B.

Plan is to DCA and sell various covered call options against my positions for 'passive' income.

90% of my money is in retirement funds, which wouldn't interest anyone.

10% I play around with

Late last year I made a ton on ASTS. Doubled my money in a just a few months. As per usual, I got out too early. It's doubled again since I got out.

A few months ago I bought some Ethereum and Bitcoin. Since then, Bitcoin is down 30% and Ethereum 47%

I bought some Dan IVES Wedbush AI Revolution ETF. Up 1%

Bought a ton (for me)Berkshire Hathaway Inc Class B, and plan on holding it for the long haul. Everything above, I considered to be more of a gamble. Since it doesn't pay dividends, this will be a good investment from 60-65, when I need my income to look low.

Small amount in Google.

folks been pulling copper off Misphipeshu for thousands of years but bulk agree
1) I have no idea where that is so I 100% take your word 2) if you spelled that from memory (and it’s correct, no idea here) I’m very impressed.

lol no, its something I've been reading about... earliest copper culture people around the Great Lakes.

the story is that Misphipeshu is an under water panther that protects the Great Lakes. The naturally occuring copper veins around were its scales. sometimes gifted from it or mostly stolen (big no no)

This and RocketLab were bananas. Space and AI are steamrolling.
