NBA: *** 2025-26 NBA Thread ***

I missed the game but seems like he had good box score for 9 minutes of run in a tight game.
It was a blowout until Milwaukee made a furious comeback with 3 minutes to go. Honestly the Bucks had 0 effort. The Nuggets were down 4 starters, the backup center, and Peyton Watson. Then Aaron Gordon, the only starter who played, missed the second half with injury. For the Nuggets to beat the Bucks with that squad should be embarrassing.

Jones’ shot looked good when he was in. He was 2-4 and one of the misses went in and out off the back rim. He did seem tentative handling the ball and never did anything but catch and shoot. Hopefully he improves in that area.

I hate how little I care about the nba now. I used to live and die with this league.
Same. I used to think I was a Bulls fan. After the Derrick Rose era fizzled, eventually I realized I was mostly just a Michael Jordan fan.

SGA is the most boring 30-ppg scorer I've ever seen, his game is just not at all exciting to watch. Luka isn't much better.

Scoring has gotten too easy. It's crazy to me how many guys I've never heard of are averaging ~15 ppg in the NBA. Salaries are nutty. Collin Sexton (who?) is making ~$19,000,000 this season.

Every team runs the same offense, at least to my untrained eye. Maybe they should move the three-point line back or something.

These are my current thoughts!

Wouldn't be surprised to see Giannis to Alabama or Baylor.

I am VERY curious about where Giannis lands and how much will be given up for him.
Milwaukee absolutely should move him.
I’m surprised Detroit isn’t more of a player. They have a ton of draft picks, a large expiring contract in Tobias Harris to match salary, and some good young rotation pieces.

Seems like that would be a win, win, win. Milwaukee gets assets to build off of, Detroit pairs Giannis with Cade, and Giannis goes to a contender.

Maybe Milwaukee doesn’t want to trade him within the division.

Yeah I don't know what Giannis prefers but I'm wondering if he's ready for a bigger market?
Somewhere like Miami, if they give up Bam and first round picks?

At one time I thought it seemed Giannis would be destined for NYK...but not sure they could pull that off! And they are kind of in a mini-mess at the moment. He won't be traded to a rebuild project...right? And speaking of a mess...the Lakers right now...ugh...there is a guy on that roster that gums up the machine! Hate to think that way about him...but it is time...

If he was an American player, I’d imagine he’d value market size, but Europeans historically don’t care about that. Also, thanks to the cap rules, stars can’t really force their way to certain teams anymore (see Jimmy Butler last year)

Knicks could give KAT (who’s damaged goods at this point) and 3 first rounders (26, 28, 32).

Miami could give Bam and maybe another player to make salaries work (Rozier expiring?) plus 5 first rounders (26, 29-32). Not a bad deal.

Detroit has their next 5 first rounders, Harris, and a Jayden Ivy or Ron Holland or Jalen Duren, and are like $50M under the first apron. That’s a haul.
