But everytime I bump the Nate Schmidt thread I get crucifiedAt some point you have to actually coach some offense. Having your offense be Brockington, Curt Jones or Milan hit contested shots only works so often.
They just seem to hit a brick wall in January. Like clockworkIt really appears that Otz teams have the same problems every year.
mostly after the game had already been decided though unfortunately.Wasted an all-timer from Milan
This is such an absurd statement. You really think we’ll get embarrassed by UCF next week? Come on dude, teams lose on the road. See me in 2 weeks if it’s still this bad.Thankfully traveling Tuesday so won’t have to watch getting embarassed by UCF at home. UCF is long and athletic and I’m sure we will just double team their center all game to let their guards get wide open looks
Okay, then I’ll say it’s peaking too soon then falling apart. Exact same situation happened last year at t exact same time. Our guys are not ready to play and have not played a very good game since before conference play started.Um, no. Bad loss today, but calling 16 games a "fluke" is not accurate.
Double treats for everyone.Look how happy we made their fans, maybe that’s the real victory after all.

Go celebrate with your Hawkeye buddies. Your team wonGood teams don’t lose to Cincy
Not really. His 6th 3 brought it to 5 points with 4 mins to go. His last 2 were the only ones after it was decided.mostly after the game had already been decided though unfortunately.
Kansas pealed back the issues.
Cincinnati full fledged exposed them.
All the excitement of potentially winning the Big 12 and being a Final Four contender are out the door now. They’ll be lucky to win an NCAA tournament game. Is the team that lost to Pittsburgh back out there?
Cincinnati has 8 losses and it’s the middle of January. That’s not mediocreA lot of good teams lose on the road to mediocre teams clearly you dont know basketball.
Revisiting my keys to 2nd half...yeah, we sucked1. Cut down turnovers NOPE (12)
2. Turn them over more NOPE (7)
3. Make FTs NOPE (17/27 63%)
4. Make 3pters YEAH (9/21 43%) *but mostly Momcilovic desperation 3s
5. Rebound NOPE (Cincy 37, ISU 29)
I wonder if we need to start games by not employing our trapping defense. Just play hard-nosed straight up man, create turnovers with good position and quick hands, and get to the rim on offense…and then once we have them down, we can shift into our trapping defense. The bad thing about the trapping defense is it’s soft against the three. If teams are tight or lack confidence, it’s not much of a. Issue, but when you play a Big 12 team on their home floor, they are assuming they are going to make their shots…at least to start. If they start hitting their threes…and we don’t..:we’re down 8-10 in no time.I just don’t know how we can be so unready to play every single game. I’m literally every game since Purdue. Even the buy games
