I had the same thought. They are shooting lights out and we cant buy one. Tamin and Milan are going to get going. Probably too little too late but I bet we make it interesting.I think this ends up being a 5 point game. Not sure we win, but we’ll at least make it interesting.
Jefferson played like **** but we didn’t get much out of Lipsey either
Yep. We’re definitely a complimentary basketball team. When you have the talent and athleticism of a KU and you move the ball like they can at their peak, you can exploit the “no middle” D. They’re not giving us time to double. But you have to relentlessly move the ball. We will see if they can keep it up.It’s because our offense is our defense. If we aren’t playing good D, we have no half court offense to fall back on.
I was at that Morgantown game.Worst case it is WVU 2014 in Morgantown.
Best case it is Iowa 2013 in Hilton.
Either way they’ll be fine.
KU's big challenge is can they maintain this type of urgency that they really haven't had for a long while. They also have two guys with 2 fouls.
ISU's big challenge is to slow down a bit and just play some ball.
I had to check. The 2-22 Prohm team scored 64 vs KU and 27 in the first half. Let’s see if we can beat that.I know it’s KU in the Phog, but this KU team is dog **** defensively and can’t stop anybody. Scoring 23 on this KU team is something the 2-22 Prohm team could do.
Ah yes, cause the 4 game sample size of destroying us and looking dominant against an ASU or Utah is totally not misleading.Yeah ISU was bad but KSU for about two weeks was metrically a top 5ish team and went on a mini-run.
The only people folding are CFers that apparently don't watch other basketball games.
Well, at least Morgantown is a good place to get drunk.I was at that Morgantown game.
What a beat down.
5 TOs by JJ, but he bobbled the ball another 5 times. Don't understand why we rely so much on ISO plays by JJ and MM. Pass the fricking ball! That's how we beat Purdue.Five TOs by JJ and 0-7 by Tamin. Tough to win on the road with those numbers.
Something that’s a huge strength with TJ’s teams is they’re in shape better than everyone else to start the year. But we have struggled more as the season goes because we’re a fundamentally based group that doesn’t evolve much on scheme. When your opponent has tape and knows exactly what you’re bringing, they can plan around it. There have been obvious exceptions (Houston in B12 tourney) but many fewer “great games” deeper into the year and I think this is the main reason. This 2nd half will tell me a lot. If we make a solid comeback and make it interesting, ok. If they look and play like that first half again? I truly think the wheels may come off moving forward. It’s too much a trend with TJs teams
At the very least, need to see some defensive intensity. I get that sometimes your shots just don't go in, but, for the love of God and all that is good and right in the world, Cyclones play some freaking defense! This 2nd half will tell me a lot. If we make a solid comeback and make it interesting, ok. If they look and play like that first half again? I truly think the wheels may come off moving forward. It’s too much a trend with TJs teams
