*** Official #2 IOWA STATE vs Kansas Game(Day) Thread ***

Hope this doesn't start a downward spiral like last year. The lack of effort is puzzling. Did they really think they could just show up and beat KU at Allen Fieldhouse?
Yeah they haven’t looked focused for quite awhile tbh. You absolutely knew Kansas was gonna come out desperate but we just bent over and took it with no lube the entire half lol

Losing sucks but a little reality check this point in the year isn’t all bad. TJ will have their attention…
This loss isn’t going to hurt us really. If anything it will be a good learning opportunity for us to stop ******* starting slow and actually score in the first half of games.

I like all the ongoing recaps of substitutions for the KU players all game. Hardly any mention of ISU's subs & so forth.

Worst half of basketball since senior night 2022 versus Oklahoma State?

Again no problem losing a game but getting absolutely skull crushed is unacceptable.

It’s just one game and we’ll be fine but it’s concerning to see an opponent use our recent weaknesses against us and fully take advantage.

Slow starts, over aggressive double teams, dumb turnovers, and missed shots have been a concern at times for this team. We got all of them combined for an entire half against a good team. And this is the result.
