If we do lose, will there be a court storm?
If KU wins I think they should storm the court. You are lucky to be 1-2 in the conference and haven't played a good team yet or at Manhattan where you've lost 3 straight. You are in serious jeopardy of not making the tournament if you keep losing. You are playing an undefeated #2 team in the country. If you win, students should enjoy it and run out there.

Absolutely hate to say this, but a lot is riding on how the refs decide to call the game. Should not have to be thinking that 9 hours before tip off, but after our last two games, it seems to be an unfortunate truth. We gotta stay out of early foul trouble, that's leading to our sluggish starts recently.
A one-sided called game obviously would hurt - but I think we win a war of attrition. They start two bigs with Bidunga (6'9") and Tiller (6'10") - but really don't play anyone else over 6'5".

Self has really struggled with building a bench recently and this year is no different. Elmarko Jackson plays a bunch - but everyone else has been a zero, especially since the freshman Rosario has really fallen off.

Against WVU Tiller only played 14 minutes because of foul trouble - so they went small a lot, but they also played a 7' freshman center Mbiya for 5 minutes. He has 2 fouls and 1 rebound.

If either of their bigs gets in foul trouble - then they have to go small for long stretches which creates huge mismatches for Jefferson.

(adding: I just looked at the roster again and I didn't realize Tre White is listed at 6'7", so maybe he plays more of the '4' when they go smaller, but I don't remember him being that size)

For some reason I'm pretty confident on this one. I think we are a team that likes to play with its food a little bit in games we are heavy favorites. But I expect us to be totally locked in here.
I sure wish I could get there. All I can think about is our history in Phog and the fact it's still KU, a very talented team, coming off a disappointing loss. They will be amped up for this one.

I would love to get a W here, but my heart says that KU is just too dialed in for this one.

Hate to be that guy, but I'm going 74-67 KU. Yuck - now I'm going to go puke for writing that.

Both Peterson and White are big guards, 6'6" and 6'7", add in Tiller and Bidunga and that is a big starting lineup. The other 5 players you would expect to see are all average sized guards. Getting Bidunga and/or White in foul trouble would make the game a lot easier. I would add Peterson but he doesn't give enough effort on the defensive end to get in foul trouble.

We have to avoid the sluggish start and the foul trouble. If we do that, I think we get this one.

I do expect Peterson to play a lot. Call it a hunch that a home game on ESPN against the #2 team with a bunch of NBA scouts watching helps keep those hamstrings loose. It is a medical miracle.

The Peterson kid is as soft as Charmin. Him and his family in no way wants to hurt his draft stock by putting up a bad performance against a suffocating defense. Once he's been made to look dumb a couple times and we open up a pretty big lead, he's gonna start limping and sit on the bench with ice packs. That'll fire up that Council kid and he'll be the one that puts up a run but I can't see him blowing by Toure every time.

The defib comes in late in the first half and draws a couple fouls. Sparking the big run. He'll even come in mid way through the second half to spark another run.

We've got a team like we've never had before so I expect am outcome that resembles this team.

Kip Kissinger calls a couple dumb fouls on both Toure and Lipsey but it still isn't enough. 76-65 victory for the good guys.

Feels like if we get off to another slow start we could get ambushed. Think that’s bound to happen at some point. KU is going to come out hot knowing this is pretty much a must win game. ISU will need to match their intensity from the get go
