We are the better team, but I think we see our first L due to them hot from three and us in foul trouble.
I lean towards a Kansas win...but their defensive Turnover % (awful) and lack of offensive rebounding gives me pause. Thanks for sharing this
I watched the pre game presser with Self this morning. Admits his team is not very good right now but will get better. Softly put some blame on Peterson practicing as a starter all season even though his minutes have been limited.
If you take out the history of visitors getting screwed at Pfog Allen I feel pretty good about this game. But.............that history is real.

Hoping you're right and I am wrong. And no, i don't really think Peterson plays 40. This is his biggest stage in a KU uniform thus far though. I don't think it's unreasonable to think he won't be up to play the #2 collegiate team and prove he really is the #1 pick. Great test for him to prove it regardless how much he cares about KU's season.
I think we go 1-1 this week. Two tough road trips. That being said, I'd rather lose to Cincinnati because F Kansas
Yeah the stats say ISU should win turnover battle and rebounding battle. It would be hard to lose if that happens, unless KU is white hot and ISU ice cold shooting.
For some reason I'm pretty confident on this one. I think we are a team that likes to play with its food a little bit in games we are heavy favorites. But I expect us to be totally locked in here.

Absolutely hate to say this, but a lot is riding on how the refs decide to call the game. Should not have to be thinking that 9 hours before tip off, but after our last two games, it seems to be an unfortunate truth. We gotta stay out of early foul trouble, that's leading to our sluggish starts recently.
Yeah, a Q2 loss (Cincy) would be very damaging to any hopes of a 1-seed
Looking through statistics and metrics for the game, my biggest concern would be them (particularly Peterson) drawing a lot of fouls and being able to stay in it with a lot of made free throws. They've also been a better first half team than second half so it wouldn't surprise me if we got down early which would make the environment a lot harder.
This is a game that Iowa State SHOULD win with Kansas really down now but that atmosphere tonight, considering one of their main rivals as the #2 team against their desperate team that is wounded is coming to town, is going to be absolutely bananas and the Cyclones are going to have to weather some serious storms to navigate through this one. It'll be a real interesting test for a team that hasn't been tested in quite a while. Don't look at the records, the Cyclones are going to have to bring their A game to win this one.
