I know you're older than me - likely twice my age, actually. You'd think you'd be a little more mature lolol...
LOL, you dont know me. You have been on this site longer than me even.

Hell, I dont even know if it is possible for me to be twice your age, if you do the math. LOL. I guess if you joined this site when you were like 2 or something maybe.

But hey, you believe what you want.

I guess it does make sense though, as it is obvious, Im far wiser than what you think you are, so it does make sense that, I am older I guess.

One of the biggest myths in college football media is that player ratings services definitively have the best players nailed down coming out of high school, when all they do is look at camp invites your sophomore and junior years of high school.

If you are a person who thinks that a star rating of a 16 year old defines whether they will be a good player or not you need to change your thinking.
This line of thought aligns with the success of Nebraska, K-State, Iowa State, etc. historically.

I've always suspected this, and Bill Snyder made the same observation (and mentioned it in his book as well).

He believed many players in the Midwest were under-recruited but had more potential than players from established areas (who would be higher ranked via recruiting services).

This is because sometimes players from Texas, etc. reach physical peaks earlier because their high school football and player development programs are more dialed in than in the Midwest. Also many Midwest athletes are multi-sport because of the weather whereas players in the South can train for football year around.

Obviously Midwest is not super high population, so it may not be possible to only use those players, but I think many slip through the cracks.

(There is a strong correlation with 5 star recruits becoming first round NFL draft picks, so I'm not suggesting that you can have some terrible recruiting class and win a title, but I do think they miss a lot of people. IIRC, JJ Watt was like a 2 star lol.)

That is exactly what JP was speaking of in his press conference on NIL. I believe their is no enforcing this clearinghouse rulings- unless you are Iowa State.
I don’t want to derail this thread into another JP thread, but yeah i found it interesting that LSU allows the out of house NIL company permission to use LSU trademarks and images. LSU probably doesn’t have to worry about covering their rev sharing though.

I would like to thank Washington state university for giving me a chance, investing millions into me and the program, I will now crush Washington state’s program when I walk out the door for a better opportunity.

Hey, don’t be butthurt just because we took all the OL MSU wanted

So he couldn’t win a national title in Ames and then he proceeds to take the entire team, that can’t win a national title, to the Big 10 to win one there?
Next year PSU does not play tOSU, Indiana, Oregon, or Iowa. They play Michigan but that program is in turmoil. They play USC, but it's at home. They have a legitimate chance to go 12 - 0. You take ISU's best players and add in some PSU holdovers, they should most likely be favored in every game. So yeah, Campbell has fallen into a dream scenario.
