We go into a game with a gameplan. If that gameplan doesnt work we are in big trouble because we seem to be unable to come up with a counter attack mid game.
I am too old to post on my phone.. no drinking, just fat fingers and never spellcheck.
The pass back to the inbounded is almost always gold
. Me too.That and their coach in the refs ear the whole game, call before that they actually made she told them all they way down the court how bad the call was!
I don’t think this Baylor team is that good. I Won’t be shocked if Baylor isn’t even ranked at end of conference play.
With how Baylor was defending us in the second half, daring Jada to shoot, it’s on our coaching staff to adjust to that in SOME way. Even if the strategy is to have her shoot every open shot, it would have been better than standing there and then forcing it into Audi and AB again and again. We just LET them out scheme us until we lost.
I looked for this after reading your comment at halftime and couldn’t see it. She definitely wasn’t moving well but nobody said anything about a back brace or injury - I’m referencing the announcers.
If injured, wouldn’t a commentator have picked up on it and why was she playing if it was an injury causing her to be ineffective?

And then we simply refused to even take them. We then became even more predictable, and lost as a result.
Baylor played harder defensively and out rebounded. They also got to shoot 8 more free throws.
Welcome to the Jamie Steyer experience. It’s this way every game and it’s really difficult to listen to. We never foul, they always foul.
A couple of observations I haven’t seen from others, so I’ll throw them out there for consideration.
Towards the end of the first half, Bill had three PG on the floor at the same time - Jada, Reece and Reagan. WTH was that? I think we’re were outscored 11-2 in that span - it might have been worse. Ridiculous…
I say this every game. We need to get more shots for Kenzie Hare. She took the same number of threes as Audi today. If Hare isn’t shooting, she shouldn’t be on the court.
Reece was not a positive today and she saw too much court time. I don’t blame her - she’s a freshman and missed five games. Let AJ run point when Jada needs a break. Reece wasn’t ready for this game and shouldn’t have been thrown into the melee!
Lastly, and probably my biggest gripe - why isn’t Evangelia Paulk getting more run? We’re getting abused by Baylor’s 6’ athletes, while we have an athletic physical 6’ conference defensive player of the year on our bench! Put EP on Littlepage-Buggs and let them have at it.

It seems to me that we could have got Jada a layup or at least a short midrange shot at the end. Put everyone ball side except Jada and force her girl to front Audi and leave Jada unguarded opposite the ball side. Have to find a way to exploit their defense.
Probably a good thing I’m not a ref- I would have T’d her up half way through the first half for being out on the court and fairly aggressive in asserting her point. I get you have to call out the officiating, but there’s a way to do it without getting in a ref’s face
