So is there a list of who is actually very much potentially coming to ISU?

That would be better than 'Some kid who no one's heard of is maybe checking out ISU'.
No because there aren't connections yet for the 'insider' stuff.

I think the $20.5 million has to be split among all sports
Correct, I knew better. So is MC $30MM in just NIL deals above whatever he’s going to spend on rev share, which I assume is at least $15MM? ~$45MM to spend on FB is a hell of a war chest, same thing at LSU, etc.. Or, does he have ~$30MM ($15MM - NIL and $15MM - rev share)? I assume it’s the latter, but the reports don’t delineate between the too. Reports on PSU say $30MM in “NIL”.

I think they get $30M total between rev share and separate deals. That’s usually the figure that gets publicized.

Yes everyone gets $1000 minimum and they should.

The $300K allocated to non-FB, MBB, WBB, and wrestling isn't going to significantly impact the the 4 sports I referenced.
For the exact same reason you don’t want to see 7% go to an ISU QB I don’t want to see more than 68% go to football.

ISU gets more bang-for-its-buck adequately funding MBB than it does trying to maximize football.

If that means ISU needs to cut back to the minimum needed to compete well enough to hold on to P4 revenue someday then so be it.

Teams are absolutely relying on NIL deals above and beyond the rev share. Rev share and NIL deals are two separate things, but some are using these terms interchangeably or calling rev share…NIL. It’s hard to determine what these amounts for NIL, for attracting new coaches, means. For example, is MC getting $30MM in prearranged NIL deals on top of the $20.5MM rev share? Or, does he have $9.5 in NIL deals available?
I thought I had read that when asked about this, PSU donors had promised help to ensure $30 million in total,, to include the House money as their department allocated it.

Depends on the money. I'd play for a worse team for more money if I knew I wasn't going to the NFL.
Potentially me too, but it would have to be A LOT better money for me to tbh. I want to win. He won't win there, team is not ready to compete. Idk how much more Wisconsin has compared to us to offer. It'd be interesting to know, but idk if it'll ever be public info what he made here vs there.

But I do recognize college kids are unfortunately built different nowadays. They just want the most money possible.

Be on a 3 or 4 win team, but it pays more? Perfect. They'll probably prefer that honestly so they don't have to play in a bowl game (that they very well would have just opted out of on a 8 or 9 win team anyway).

Don't want to be too critical but it is really disappointing that a paid service for Cyclone fanatics has nothing to offer on the biggest two weeks of roster churn in school history. Not just CF either, but any of the paid services like 247. Nada, zilch about targets other than maybe Jaylen Raynor because of his OC coming here (which anyone paying attention can see publicly)

Thanks, so $30MM combined. Lots of discussions on QB payments here. Same thing, the amounts being floated around likely aren’t just from re share, but also NIL. The latter is likely providing more the majority, so trying to calculate % of rev share for FB isn’t accounting for NIL deals.

Coaching change means no one has insider relationships yet.

Hell, even if he has a shot at the NFL this makes sense. Hard to believe a RB would have less chance of making it as a Badger than a Cyclone.

Hopefully ISU is better than Wisconsin next year, but at least on Paper Fickell should be able to succeed there.

That's why they all wanted their buddy Mouse to be HC. This new staff doesn't know them and trust them yet to feed info.

I understand that. My frustration is that there is no insight for fans right now, not even from the paid services. It can both be frustrating and understandable.
Lot of info out there but it’s scattered because nobody has great sources right now plus all the info threads turn to discussions with everything going on. OL currently visiting from Auburn (Deandre Carpenter) and Akron (Maasai King) along with a big group of WSU kids. Guessing we’ll see committs trickle in as they end their visits tomorrow but who knows.

If you care, there are also around 20 former clones visiting Penn state right now.

As others have said 20.5 is for the whole Athletic Department.

Also 20.5 was for 2025, it increases 4% every year, so 21.33 next year.

I thought I've heard the ISU FB budget for revenue share is going to be roughly 14 million this coming year.
