*** Official West Virginia vs #3 IOWA STATE Game(Day) Thread ***

I'd say, Buchanan tops the list, in terms of the "surprise factor."

Sure, I’d agree Buchanan is the biggest surprise.

But as far as the original question of who is he the best 5 since, he isn’t better than Fizer.

Answering the question any other way requires the original question to change

It’s super fun when your PG having 5 assists to 2 turnovers is a “sloppy” performance by his standards
Terrible. I think he has earned a day off with relations from the wife for that kind of behavior. If he keeps it up he might get two days off.

Milan is for sure a first round pick. Maybe lotto. Any 6-8 dude who is shooting 55% from three has a major role in the NBA.
Ya especially after he puts a little more muscle on his frame and gets a little better handle he will be crazy.

He had really elite hands and handles, for anybody but especially someone built like him. he had elite frame, athleticism and strength.

He was a great passer but not any better than JJ. JJ is a much better defender. JJ is a drastically better shooter.

Maybe most importantly they seem to be exact opposites between the ears with JJ being about the coolest customer I’ve seen in a college player. I think JJ really thinks about the game like a chess match.
Other than handles Jefferson is a lot more skilled than Royce, and Royce was a lot more athletic.

Having a guy that can knock down 3s and FTs vs a guy that basically scored from 8’ and in is a big difference.

Fizer was a tweener in the NBA…guys at that level are quicker, taller, and just as strong. He didn’t have the dribble, quickness, or shooting to be a 3, undersized for the 4.

Cato never treated it as a job imho.
Cato had all the tools in the world to be a high first rounder. Coasted on his length.

Fizer was one of those AAA guys. Great college. Too small to play NbA forward. Should have stayed another year.

Joshua is the definition of hard work with less talent beats talent without hard work. (When you're comparing to Royce) Plus he's clearly smarter and tougher than Royce.

If he does we probably avoid that nightmare loss as a 2 seed the following year.

Still don’t know if another year would have changed the outcome for him in the NBA. Feel like he was always going to be that size and style that didn’t translate from college to NBA.

I think Jefferson is an all around better player than Royce, and year to date Milan is our best shooter ever. But those other guys and the stats we are all looking at all went through a big 12 round robin...see how it plays out, 17 big 12 games yet to play. Lot of adjustments will be made, lot of good coaches, lot of road games.
