Tell me how this OL prospect below, that switched from WSU to ISU, is any worse of a prospect than what we've been getting under Campbell? Video looks just as promising as any of our commits IMO, but I'm no OL expert either.

If they have conversations with the coaches and say they expect X amount of money and or a certain role that the new staff doesn't agree with, is it helpful to keep them around just because they started last year?I hope we aren’t sending our starters packing. I know the schemes are different, but our roster is better than WSU’s so we are losing ground when we do that, in my view.
Yep... purely a business now.If they have conversations with the coaches and say they expect X amount of money and or a certain role that the new staff doesn't agree with, is it helpful to keep them around just because they started last year?
I think the new staff would love to keep everyone around but when they sit down and talk, business decisions are made on both sides that make a lot of the situations more mutual than it seems from the outside looking in.
The staff obviously want to win but they will get a little bit of leash with roster turnover. Having guys who are 100% here and on board with their vision is probably worth more than overpaying/overpromising someone who may not be has bought in just to win next year.
The player turnover is a lot of work for the coaches but I'm sure there are some things they actually like about having to rebuild a huge chunk of the roster. It speeds up the "get your guys in" process. We saw in bball how TJ getting to start a roster from scratch can help a coach install their own culture.

And we all know how rankings mean everything.84 is a pretty low score for for 247. All but 3 of ISU's 2025 recruits were ranked higher.
Thanks Marcus Kneel for everything! His name is Marcus, silly.
Thanks Matt
Getting attention might be part. But, IMO the promise, hope or loss of money probably plays a big part in 2026.Personally I think for a lot of these guys the portal means they get to be recruited and fawned over and sought out again and again and again. Coming out of HS and being recruited was probably the highlight of their lives with all these schools telling them how amazing they are. With the portal they get to relive that, in this guy's case every year.
Yep. And kids have inflated asking prices bc agents want them to go to free agency. No hometown discounts here, I’d imagine. I trust Jimmy. If they have conversations with the coaches and say they expect X amount of money and or a certain role that the new staff doesn't agree with, is it helpful to keep them around just because they started last year?

19 days ago, Coach Campbell said in his introductory press conference that he wanted to meet with every player in three or four days.
