And stay at a ‘lesser program’ and pass up some more $$$? Shocking.Dillingham staying at ASU
Do tell. Michigan > PSU. I’ve been told repeatedly that more $$$ and a chance to win it all are the only things that matter and that anyone would be a fool to turn such an opportunity down.If you’re trying to equate it to Campbell, you’re wrong.
I mean, ASU is committing crazy money.Do tell. Michigan > PSU. I’ve been told repeatedly that more $$$ and a chance to win it all are the only things that matter and that anyone would be a fool to turn such an opportunity down.
Overall package still less than Michigan. ASU much less tradition and opportunity to win it all than Michigan. So, again according to prevailing wisdom why on earth would he stay at a ‘inferior’ program in an ‘inferior’ conference? I am reliably assured by many that is ‘just not the way it works’.I mean, ASU is committing crazy money.
Interesting. There are many here and in the national media that assured us that the only things that matter are fame and fortune.Different people have different goals, and peoples' goals can change over time as well. If you want to win it all, then yes, you're probably going to have to leave a school like Iowa State eventually.
At the moment it seems like Dillingham's goal is to enjoy coaching his alma mater and staying close to family while his kid grows up. And maybe that'll change 10-15 years down the line.

He has both fame and fortune in the Valley and it's good enough for him. That is what matters in life.Interesting. There are many here and in the national media that assured us that the only things that matter are fame and fortune.
Fred Hoiberg and Cael Sanderson would like a word.Did Campbell graduate from Iowa State?
There’s your difference.

I agree with you. Comes down down to what is ‘enough’ right? At home, winning program with a fan base that loves him. Almost like maybe there is more to life than a bigger paycheck and spotlight. He has both fame and fortune in the Valley and it's good enough for him. That is what matters in life.
I mean, ASU is committing crazy money.
So, does it matter if you are an alum or not? Trying to determine what the rules are.Cael is the only one that’s situation might be similar. But carry on.
