***Official portal tracker thread***

The guys who have left so far are replaceable, but I really hope we can get Robinson back. Hoping to keep Marcus Neal, Brahmer, Burkle, Buhr, Hanson, Sama, Manske, the freshman guard from Utah (my bad, can't recall his name), Verdon, Ka'Mori Moore, Limbaugh, Ebel, Jontez, Coffey, and Konrardy. Also hoping that Bandhauer's kid stays committed.
I want to keep as many as possible, but I really hope we can retain both of our backup QBs, as they seem perfect for the style Rogers will run.

C’mon. You are going to be SEVERELY disappointed with reality if this is your level of hope.

Fully expect Campbell’s to go after at least seven of the guys you listed.

Since they removed the spring window, you better be pretty sure. Without that window, you're stuck for a year. You can no longer go to say PSU, find out you're buried on the depth chart, then try to go somewhere else.

I would expect almost every player to enter the portal, even if it's just to weigh their options.

They can announce they are entering the portal. They do that and they can talk to other schools now. The 2nd is when they announce where they are going.
I don’t think announcing before the portal allows them to talk. A player is supposed to be in the portal to officially talk. I know it happens but that is how it’s supposed to be I believe.

I don’t think you will see announcements by the players going with Campbell that they are entering, you will see announcements that they have decided on Penn St.

It will be interesting to see how the $20M+ House Settlement plus NIL plays into portal season.

For elite guys like Rocco, Neal or Brahmer- is there wide range what schools offer? Do schools that have more than $20M House create a market where they hoard all-conference level players.

Same can be said for kids like Buhr, Hanson, Sama, Ebel, etc. They are core players and if a team has a glaring need, does their money get escalated.

This got me thinking. Rarely do guys who transfer from Iowa State end up at P4 schools. It seems most go to G5 or FCS, and I don't believe any transfers have made it to the NFL, have they?

WR Amarion Jackson and OT Pete Eglitis have decommitted. I saw Eglitis as a MAC level player who probably never would have played anyways. Losing Jackson kinda hurts, but I think we will end up keeping hometown kid Jeff Roberts at WR. I wonder if Jackson ends up at Alabama with Thomalla.

Eglitis is apparently hoping to get a Penn State offer.

I highly doubt Alabama has any interest in a 3 star caliber player like Jackson. They sign nothing but 4-5 star receivers. The best of the best every year.

I was thinking the same, but you never know. He is a good player and already has that QB/WR relationship with Thomalla. I'm pretty sure Jackson ends up somewhere else and maybe Thomalla will join him in a year or two.
