Bowls have become nothing more than wish-upon-a-star venues anyway. Making one really isn't much of a challenge or reward anymore.

They don't want to play......don't play. There is always next year.

This decision really hurts other people no one talks about but put in so much time to support the football players.

Marching Band, Cheer Squad, Student Managers, Mascot Squad. A bowl game is a huge thank you to those not getting paid or NIL money but work their butt off to support the football program. Huge slap in the face to them.

Very dissapointing.

Yep... sadly very few of these kids give two sh*ts about Iowa State University. We like to think they do, but they don't.

But I don't blame them at all for that at all honestly. Who else really cares? Coaches obviously don't.

Welcome to the NIL era. It won’t be long and you will see 4-8 teams trying to play bowl games.

There needs to be some NFL like changes to the college football calendar just blowing the whole thing up for a school with 3 weeks to go in a season isn’t sustainable in my opinion.
