No Bowl Game — Iowa State Turns Down Bowl Bid

This is stupid. Yeah, there’s a lot of change going on. But you get the new staff here with the players you have and use the game film to prepare for spring practice.

You'd either have to have the players or staff learn and implement a new system in a matter of weeks. Not really possible if most of the staff is leaving. And that doesn't even include player availability. We really want to play a bowl game with walk ons and 3rd stringers?

hmmmmmmmm. not a good thing. but hey, it doesn't affect Ohio State or Texas so who cares, right ESPNDISNEYPSYOP.

I was looking at bowl projections with fear though anyway......I was praying to play another dumpster fire still in a bowl. I saw one projection where we played Navy.......I think they would hang 50 on us more brutally than many of the other cohesive, functional teams. So, maybe even though a bummer, maybe for the best. The Big 12 office should excuse fines this year with the total **** show they are a total vested co-conspirator in.

Play the freaking walk ons for all that I care. What a huge middle finger to anyone in the program that actually wants to be at Iowa State.

It’s not like ISU has some robust history of going to bowl games. Just beyond stupid we would ever turn one down

Nobody wants to be at Iowa State any more. The players all want out.

To me, this means they're completely checked out. Could they not have played and then hit the portal after if they choose?

I thought the window opened after the bowl game we'd presumably play in, but maybe I'm wrong.
