Listening to Pollards press conference (KCCI Twitter), it sounds like this wasn't a money thing for Campbell. He gets to be closer to his home/parents, and his parents and in-laws are dealing with health issues. Plus his daughter is attending a college in DC next year, so he'll be closer to her as well. Pollard said Campbell told him there wasn't a dollar value ISU could offer because the decision was based on family. THAT sounds like Matt Campbell. Its consistent with everything he's preached here for 10 years. So I trust that it wasn't about money.
Sounds like an excuse for why he didn't even try to keep him. Campbell was looking for more support....Listening to Pollards press conference (KCCI Twitter), it sounds like this wasn't a money thing for Campbell. I'm going to thank Matt for everything he did to show us and the nation what was possible, wish him the best of luck, and welcome Coach Rogers.
Coaches come and go but I'll always be a Cyclone fan. Loyal Forever True.
So he doesnt care about money or his family? Just the ability to put wins under his belt? Then why ever come to ISU in the first place? Why stay at ISU for 10 years when there were opportunities to leave earlier? It may not have been about money, but I doubt it was about that other stuff either.
And why do you say that?It may not have been about money, but I doubt it was about that other stuff either.

You might be right, but it isn't consistent.
Where exactly is home for him?The "family" thing is a really poorly thought excuse to save face. "Home" isn't that close to where he's going either.
And what's floating out there indicates it was less about being able to match PSU and more whether ISU was doing everything it actually could.
And why do you say that?
Where exactly is home for him?
Yeah that's super helpful thanks. His home has been Iowa for 10 years. His kids only know Iowa as home. He has lived inIowa for a 5th of his life.
He didn't take the Penn State job to go home.

lol you thought he was asking where Matt lives? His home has been Iowa for 10 years. His kids only know Iowa as home. He has lived inIowa for a 5th of his life.

You and Pollard just need to rage f*ck at this point.I just don't think we have to believe Pollard's ******** about how this was inevitable.
I wonder if it’s possible he has other family not in Iowa. That’d be nuts. No, it sounds like Pollard is acting like he wanted to go 'home'. Iowa WAS home. He wanted out of Iowa State
