The Indiana coach would disagree with that statement, you get a coach that wins, his age does not matter. Free Rents over in IC is 70 and still bringing in young talent, and not just Iowa kids either. Winning is what matters not the age of the coach.

How do we know who is even on the short list? Free Rents is bringing in guys even though he is finishing out his career. It was reported on the squawk site that recruiters were being told he would be there for at least 2 or 3 years and they still signed on. Indiana only started more NIL funding after last season, which had them in the playoff. Bring in a new coach at ISU and he has in the playoff in year one, I would expect NIL money to start flowing in to get it going. The age of both was not turning off the players, they want to win, the age of the head coach does not matter.
