I know it's nit picky but some of the reports are saying Penn St is finalizing their offer to Campbell, that's not the same as they've reached a deal.

It depends. If you aren't looking to move someone up from FCS to take an opportunity, the only thing fellow D-1 coaches truly care about is how well your program will be funded as an indicator of potential success. That said, JP is very highly thought of and the new uni president has emphasized the incredible importance of athletics at ISU. We have great facilities and our fan base has been known to win over a coach or two. ISU will have good options.

Except the donors that covered it up and are the ones paying Matt his blood money now.
Matt did great here obviously and can do whatever he feels is best for him.
I will say though…. if he was telling players as they committed on Weds a bunch of BS when he knew he was looking at PSU…. I could NEVER do that to those kids.

The Penn State scandal was so many years ago that if it was a child Sandusky would barely be interested in raping him.
I am oscillating between thankfulness for 10 years of service the urge to ride him out of town on a rail. Campbell leaving doesn't make me mad. Him going to that scum bucket university does.
There's usually someone who's richer who is willing to pony up the money. In this case, I bet PSU is more than happy to pay their next football coach $10M.
Now it's another conversation, should academic entities be paying their FB coach that much money- 5 to 10x what the University President makes.

I'm thankful we had 10 really, really great years. I loved Iowa State football.
But I am ******* pissed that it is over. It ******* sucks. I get a lot of joy out of Iowa State sports and I won't get that joy.
