As long as we are extrapolating wildly. Mouser, would he get an interview, do the players like him?But...by far his biggest attraction to ISU would be that his son is on the team...might be OK? Might not work out so well...

So in your mind the big12 is going to kick out ISU in a couple years if cmc leaves? My man take the tin foil off. No team has been “kicked” out of a conference yet and ISU wouldn’t be the firstI know all of you “mature” people out there are on the side of if he leaves so be it. But that is not the mindset you should have. Sure he’s a grown man who coaches a sport that we frankly have no influence in or on. But a bad couple of years is not something the athletic program can survive anymore. You can’t go 2-10 every other year and expect to stick around in a power conference anymore, this isn’t 2004. Matt leaving could trigger an invite to the mountain west or MAC in a handful of years.
There is a plane landing in a hour or two in Ames. That plane was in Salt Lake city for a few hours on Tuesday. Could be a wild coincidence.Prepare for rocky because some talks are going down tonight. Hope for good not bad news in the next few days.
No not kicked out but left behind. There has never been times like the present. When/If they move to P2 or 50 teams if you aren’t a winner you are a gone. The fact that a state like Iowa has to P5 programs already is odd enough and could prove to be troublesome. So in your mind the big12 is going to kick out ISU in a couple years if cmc leaves? From where?Lots of smoke on CMC to Penn State. Came out of nowwhere.
I haven’t seen anything outside of just rumours mills. Nothing official like the BYU Coach or anything had yesterday. No blue checksFrom where?
Exactly. We go through this **** every year.I haven’t seen anything outside of just rumours mills. Nothing official like the BYU Coach or anything had yesterday. No blue checks
Nitter.net. I dont know anything, apparently their was an insider saying the tone shifted in the ISU athletic department. From where?
CW was just on the radio this afternoon discussing his new book, and this subject was brought up. He said he did not think that MC will go to Pedo St (paraphrasing) at this time.I've been looking on Twitter to see if there's any comment from Chris Williams on this and haven't seen anything. Should I just assume that anything being discussed is just on the premium board?
Campbell has talked to many people over the years, including other formidable suitors. The question is why they’re talking now, and the answer is probably that the regular season is over. I’m not going to read into it more than that for now. Sitake is in the friggin’ championship game and was still willing to hear them out in the meantime.
The Arkansas rumors gave me more anxiety because it was so out of left field it could’ve meant that someone or something had pissed Campbell off and a bridge had been burned (sorry, shouldn’t even joke about such things happening to The Bridge). But I’m with @SolterraCyclone, Franklin was fired the day after the Colorado game, and at that point I resigned myself to the reality that Campbell might take the Penn State job.
As for Kalshi, if I understand it correctly, it can be pretty misleading, because you’re just trying to get in on the ground floor of a boom. In other words, if Campbell’s odds went from 7% to 14% last night, how many people bet it afterwards simply because the odds doubled? It’s worth noting Sitake’s odds spiked too, yet I think a lot of people agree he was probably just using rumors as negotiating leverage from the start
BrNot that I think CMC goes anywhere. But lets just play that game. Who do we go after if it happens?
Scheelhaase? That one seems like a probability, considering the history, and how he appears to be doing with the Rams.
I dont know who else from there with all the moves already happening it seems like a very picked over list at this point.

CMC has an agentThe Arkansas rumors were just that, rumors. It doesn’t help anyone’s case when they mention Campbell’s people or his agent since he doesn’t have those, and that’s what those rumors were mentioning.

Of course the big 12 won’t kick out a founding member. But not sure how much longer each conference as they stand today will last.
Between Iowa and the Steelers.... Must be something about the matching uniforms.Iowa has had 3 in the last 50 years also. Pretty crazy stat.
