You need to also consider how many deals aren’t even offered now because of the clearinghouse. The clearinghouse has cleared $89M in deals this year. Texas Tech’s roster was at $28M itself before the clearinghouse. The pare down in NIL is massive.

that's a risky move on both sides. Sure he developed those receivers but they were the best of the best coming out of high school. Not sure he's going to be able to bring those types to South Florida. Can he develop a high 3 star player into that level of college player? Can he actually run an offense without Ryan Day around?
I thought he'd be a good fit at somewhere like Penn St because his primary duties would be recruiting and he's really good at it. I guess now we'll find out if he can actually coach.
Penn State is running out of options. Pay millions to Franklin just to promote the interim. AD completely botched things.
Penn State is a disaster, CMC is being thrown out heavy because he is one of the few decent options left, but I dont think CMC would take it at this time.
Like I said, I have to believe Penn State has already contacted him. Now maybe they get super desperate and offer him.

But i think CMC is smart enough to understand stability and taking a job at a school that fired a coach that made the semifinals last year SCREAMS instability
Not to mention he is now about their 5th choice. Could be wrong, but I just don't see it.
USF is one of the best non-P4 jobs right now. They are investing a ton including building a new on campus stadium set to open in 2027. Golesh was able to turn USF into Auburn, so why couldn't Hartline turn it into something like Michigan St. or Maryland or Illinois?
Hartline was mentioned for Penn State from the start. Penn State fans aren’t super pleased that they’ve struck out on everyone and now their fallback is going to USF.
It kind of feels like that doesn't it? It wouldn't stun me if MC was offered and accepted a PSU offer. But it would certainly feel odd...I hope we don't have to experience this!
