WBB: General All-NCAA Thread - Not Team Cyclones Stuff

Looked like Baylor blocking a million shots in the first half got in the Hawks heads. They missed a LOT of close in shots. Some of that looked like Hawks trying to go too fast or a bit too far out hoping to not get blocked again. It looked a lot like the Duke/Baylor game in Paris. Neither game was a good fan watch for the random WBB fan checking in to see ranked teams. In the Paris game Baylor had the scoring run lead by Scott to pull it out, this game it was the Hawks with the late run. Might be done "previewing" Baylor unless it's vs TCU or someone, it's sort of ugly ball.

And, man, the Bears Scott sure loves to jack up shots, including 6-16 from three. Rest of Bears were 2-16 from deep.

I'll be curious if Baylor's year doesn't go well if she'll transfer out. Even Clark at Iowa wasn't that much of a one woman show.

Future Opponent Watch: We probably draw Indiana and not Gonzaga over Thanksgiving but I see Gonzaga lost to South Dakota State in the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls last night. Think Hoosiers will keep winning and be our 7-0 opponent for that 2nd game.

Maybe you answered this already, but what was up with the beating Minnesota gave Marquette? Was it an anomaly or is Marquette not that good?

Best game of the year so far. UConn 72 Michigan 69 in UConn Land.

"O Canada" Swords with insane threes in the 4th for Michigan and UConn's Strong with a million rebounds. Great game.
That was a great game. Michigan didn't lose, they just ran out of time. The ND - USC game was quite entertaining as well. Hidalgo was like a menacing gnat to those USC girls. That girl has a different kind of battery than most.

It's early but I think Marquette might suck. Gophers are probably a bubble team again come March. Losing to Gophers maybe wasn't an anomaly but the margin probably is. I think the Big East is going to suck. Creighton, early on ranked, has tanked to. The Big East is just UConn's scrimmage league this year.

I agree about UConn and Michigan. I really didn’t think Michigan would handle UConn very well and early on it seemed I was correct. But man in the second half Michigan made quite the comeback and pushed things to the extreme limits before just falling short. Def respect earned by Michigan!

UNI beat Creighton 51-50. I’m really thinking Drake is having a very down year.

K-State lost another game (4-3 so far this year). Green Bay is a decent team, but the Purple Kitties appear to be struggling so far this season.

Have to give them some credit. Every single one of their losses has been very, very close - 1, 5 and 3 points. BTW…Hansford DNP.

Still amazed that some people here deluded themselves into thinking she was something she wasn't.
Meh, we were told she was going to be the 3pt specialist and it never materialized. It'd be interesting to know how much we paid for her, but not all hires work out. Jada W on the other hand seems to be money well spent early in the season.

There were some people here who convinced themselves that she was some good defender when she wasn't.

As far as 3pt shooting she had one average year, one abnormally good year, one overcorrection year, and is returning to the mean this year.
