The Fuskers appear to have gotten their franchise QB

I do notice we are listed a decent amount of times with them for offers. Ben Brahmer and Chase Contrarez are both transfers from Nebraska.

Grant Brix had a lot of high major offers out of western Iowa including us and ended up committing to nebby.

Brahmer wasn't a transfer.

Maybe Rhule will turn around Nebraska. But frankly they weren't that impressive this year so I'm not sure why we are convinced they'll be great. They have a long ways to go to be average.

That’s right, a recruiting flip.

Depends on how you view Rhule I would say.

Teams like Nebraska needed the NIL. They sure in the hell couldn’t without it

Does the younger brother try to imitate Mahomes too?

Dylan Raiola's obsession with Patrick Mahomes is creepy to me. I understand trying to play like him, but he even tries to look like him and act like him.
I know Rhule recently re-upped but my first thought was maybe he's job sniffing or big bro is looking at other schools.

So, is Dylan tranferring too then and his brother didn’t want to sign his LOI until Dylan concluded his transfer portal experience?

Cause that would be fantastic.

Also, QB transfer coming off of offseason surgery, that’d make him a target for Kirk right?
No clue. The timing of it being so close to signing day is fascinating.

The thing I don't get about Dylan...he's a good QB, maybe very good. Why the Mahomes idolization? Why dress like him and act like him? And then get mad when people bring up the comparison? Does not make sense to me. I do think that Rhule has done a decent job...would like to see them be a tough out for iowa instead of a pushover.

If Rhule leaves for Penn State, I would laugh at both Penn State and Nebraska.

FWIW, the posters on the penn state 247 board were losing their **** about this very thing yesterday. Not sure why, but they are worried.

I mean, Dayton Raiola is only rated as a 3 star with his only offers outside of Nebraska being App St and Charlotte. Its easy to say that Nebraska only offered to keep Dominic/Dylan happy, but its probably better for Dayton if he can go somewhere he can actually get playing time and develop.
This may be a Chubba Purdy situation. Love the Purdy family, but Chubba hasn’t had the career that Brock had.

He just signed a new big deal. No way you sign a deal when you know the job is open, then go to Penn State. He is off the board for a few years.
If Penn State really wants him, they will pay the buyout. Might as well get a pay raise.

ESPN article said they are down to nine commits for the early signing period. Not sure how much that really matters any more with two signing periods but it doesn't seem like a positive.

Maybe for some other coaches but, at least previously, Matt Rhule wasn't like those coaches.
From Wikipedia:
"..Shortly after the beginning of the 2019 season, Rhule signed a four-year contract extension which tied him to the school through 2027.

Baylor began the 2019 season 9–0*, winning five games decided by eight points or less and reaching a No. 12 national ranking. After a loss to Oklahoma, the Bears won their final two games to finish the regular season 11–1, ranked seventh nationally. Rhule was named Big 12 Coach of the Year. After Baylor dropped each of its postseason games (a rematch with Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championship Game and a meeting with Georgia in the Sugar Bowl), Rhule was named head coach of the Carolina Panthers."

(* is from me. That 9-0 start included a game that Baylor beat Iowa State on a late field goal during a game with heat index around 100. Baylor would not let ISU use tents to keep the ISU players on the sidelines cooler)

Don't disagree with any of this, just surprised at the timing.
Don't also forget there is also a Raiola on staff as well.
