2025 Iowa vs ISU

Arnold doesn’t scare me and Angelo I don’t think can beat Rocky.
Arnold doesn’t scare, but he’s very comparable to Dean, IMO.

Also don’t agree about Angelo w/Rocky and that’s not a slight at Rocky. I think that highly of Angelo. I think Rocky would win that match but Angelo I believe would be in it.

100% Angelo would be in it with Rocky and could possibly even win that match.

However, with Angelo at 184 it’s like a 99.9% likelihood of a win. If you put Arnold at 84, both matches become toss-ups. It would be a very high risk move where Iowa could end up losing both instead of a likely split.

Have to also think Angelo has a decent shot to bonus Dean.

I guess we learned early how bad the Wartburg kid is if we’re already talking like this.

Does anyone know why the ISU vs Iowa dual is not listed on TV or streaming? IT has Radio listed only.

Our best chance to win is if Iowa does not move Angelo up to 97 and slot Arnold in at 84. Iowa is more likely to do that if those two weights fall closer to the end of the dual when many other matches are decided and they know where the team score is at towards the end of the dual. It would be advantageous for us to force their hand and make them start around that 84 weight so they have to show what they are doing early. Cutting out their movement options early before they have a read on the entire dual would make the most sense.

So then you have to weigh the difference between a more or less recovered Evan at 133. Totally agree with the 184-197 assessment, but Dresser and Co. will have to decide what is more important at that time.

There is definitely give and take with both scenarios. We have to hope Evan is down to 133 by this time anyway.

I would be shocked if they sat Angelo, even towards the end of a losing dual. His talent isn't a secret anymore. I feel Tom & Jerry would want to make a statement with their shiny new toy against somebody we went out and bought in Dean.

I don't think he's saying they'd sit Angelo. That's not happening any any scenario. He's saying it would be better for us to see Ferrari/Endene rather than Arnold/Ferrari at those two weights.
