The tape helps his style to win matches. Having that much tape on his hands makes hand fighting for the opponent more brutal. Also very beneficial for Bailey when using the crossface. Can be dangerous leading to concussions.
I’d agree about the hand fighting point on the feet, but I’m not sure how all that tape helps him in the top position. Generally just curious the rationale. I was a pretty good top wrestler, and honestly feel like that much tape would hinder my ability to lock up tilts or my hands on cradles. But I’ve also never tried, so just curious.

Gotta imagine that much tape makes friction which makes the grip stronger...especially when slightly moist from sweat

When people sweat they become harder to grab so hand fighting him would give you a rough surface when you grab which would make it easier than if he was sweaty. And on bottom it would make it easier for someone to control your wrists . On top the only advantage I could see would be using it to crossface. And no the tape wouldn't cause a concussion
