Should do well for the University and it is nice he has experience as a President already.

In another good move by the regents, David Spalding (recently retired dean of the business school) as the interim President for the couple of months between Pres. Wintersteen retiring and Pres. Cook starting.

2 months of work/pay at what would be a $600,000 annual salary is a pretty good gig if you can get it.
New guy gets $700k (plus $9500/month for house and cars?), I knew I should have been a university president.
If he gets a stipend that includes his house he probably has to pay the monthly expenses for the Knoll. That old building probably costs a lot on a monthtly basis. I feel really bad for the guy. Only making $700k, barely enough to feed his family.
Not sure why people are knocking his pay. Several coaches making far more... and I suppose Rocco is as well. Probably a mens and womens BB player too.

If you thought I was knocking his pay, I wasn't. Just making a little light of it. It is a job with a ton of responsibility and he makes just a fraction of what most CEOs of most multi-million dollar companies do. And that is what ISU is, a multi-million dollar enterprise.
The housing stipend will almost assuredly be in lieu of living at the Knoll.
