YouTube TV Getting Ability to Split Into 4 Screens

This is so freaking confusing! So the Sling one day pass does not include ESPNU. In other words, to watch the Miss State game on ESPNU on Monday, I'll need to do the fubo free trial?
ESPN Orange + Sports Add On, The Add on is like $11 a month.

I've had sling since its inception because it was the first streaming only package, It has gotten worse like the rest, but this is probably the cheapest way to get ESPNU

Yea, or look up "Iowa State Mississippi State basketball" on YouTube 30 seconds after the game starts

My parents wanted ESPN...so I helped them switch to Hulu Live with ESPN and Disney+...holy cow the Hulu onscreen guide and setup sucks compared to YTTV! What a pain...why make it so hard to find what a person is looking for? If Hulu was smart they would just create a onscreen guide very similar to YTTVs! My parents will enjoy not having to switch apps to find ESPN+ stuff...but that is assuming they can even find what they are looking for!

What guide do you have on YTTV that is different than Hulu, I am curious, as all I have used is Hulu.

Edit: is it different than one of these styles, that Hulu has?

On Hulu's guide can you just hit one button and jump ahead like 12 or 24 hours? That is something I wish you were able to do on YTTV's guide. When I was on Directv they had that.

I don't believe the YTTV guide is innovative...it is very similar to what I used to see on a cable TV screen...just very simple...I am sure that I am just used to YTTV as I have been a user since it was first available. And as some point out...you only see 90 minutes of each channel without having to tell it to move forward but I guess I just like how simple and straight forward it seems.

Ok I guess the live guide with Hulu is basically the same that I have used with any cable or satellite service I have had.

I dont necessarily like the Home screen with the interface like all the streaming services have. But those are all fairly similar too, across all platforms too. Some do work better than others though it seems.

I definitely miss how fast the guide was and how quick the channel switching and swapping was on cable and sat vs streaming.

I have found I use sites like these below guides on my computer on game days to actually figure out where everything is playing then just tune directly in on stream.

College Football
College Basketball (the link says cfb but actually goes to the CBB guide)

Probably going to switch to Hulu + Live TV. Just simply more convenient for our use case as it includes ESPN select/unlimited & Disney+.

"At some point, the NFL usually wins out.

That is where the YouTube TV versus ESPN brouhaha stands. The two sides are exchanging proposals, but remain far apart, according to sources briefed on the talks, as the “Monday Night Football” game of the year — the Philadelphia Eagles versus the Green Bay Packers — looms early next week.

Can this NFC showdown provide a little tush push to get a deal done? The world waits.

When these deals turn from stalemate to an agreement, it happens quickly. But there is pessimism at the moment, leaving 10 million YouTube TV subscribers to decide when and where to find alternatives for a second straight weekend."

So many people caving to the SEC Network
For me it's simply about cost - wasn't intending to switch but given the current happenings I did the math. I basically don't watch anything on YTTV besides locals and sports. And I'm subscribing to Disney anyway for the kids. So Hulu + Live TV saves $20/mo.

Explain it like I am 5.

I have YTTV and ESPN+.

What do I need on Monday to watch the MSU game?

Either:

Upgrade to ESPN unlimited

Get a free trial from Fubo or Directv Stream

Go to one of those sites on the internet.
