You also seem to lack the understanding or maybe the compassion that there are a lot of people that go to games that physically cant stand the entire game. These people may not have outward signs of having a physical handicap, but you seem to label all these types of people as complainers because they dont want to look at your back for an entire game.I don't agree with the "little brother" assessment at all. I think that's total b.s., but good god dude we have posts all the time from ISU fans criticizing our crowds for big conference games. Other than the "little brother" bs he's pretty spot on. Iowa generally has to be in the dumps pretty bad before people quit showing up there or quit cheering. I seriously think some of it is just in our DNA from being lifelong ISU fans in that other than Iowa and Nebraska when they were in the conference that football is kind of "meh". We are the more loyal and close knit fanbase. Honestly most of my Iowa fans would agree.
You know what I would have every right to be butt hurt about that, because I for one am someone that cant stand for an entire game. I have pretty significant nerve damage in one leg that makes it impossible. Most of the time I show few signs of the issue if you dont know what to look for, beyond a slight limp at times when it is really bothering, or when I have had to stand for far too long in one spot!!!! I could be one that gets a handicap spot, but I choose to sit in regular stands, because I can physically get to those seats, and want to leave the handicap spots for people that physically cant. I have also taken my mother, to watch her grandkids play/dance etc. She has had cancer in her leg, has had 1/2 her quad removed, has a rod in her leg and broke her kneecap among other things that cause her some significant physical limitations. She physically can not stand for an entire game, but according to you, she would be a complainer because she wants to see her granddaughter dance on the sidelines!!! Instead of looking at the ass standing in front of her!!! Seriously.
You know one thing I can do.. I can cheer just as loud and probably louder than most, from my seat, just as well as anyone standing. I dont understand the infatuation with people standing, there are seats for a reason use them. You can yell and cheer sitting just like you can standing.
