Just like 2021, I think Iowa State was favored is almost every game that year too.
So, back from the game.
Most importantly, so glad to hear that Ben Brahmer is okay. That was the scariest thing I have ever seen at a football game. I've seen some bad injuries, but that was just flat out scary. Never heard a stadium go so silent like that.
The weather was miserable with the exception of the couple of times Mr. Sunshine came out to play. @ChrisMWilliams said it best on the post-game show that the weather was gross.
Arizona State did everything they could to give the game to ISU: Tons of bad penalties, fumble, int, vanilla QB running all game. Almost worked but nobody can pull defeat from the jaws of victory like ISU can.
Sims had a sneaky GREAT all-purpose game: 228 yards rushing (2 TDs) and 177 yards passing (1 TD) for 405 all-purpose yards (3 TDs). ISU knew he was coming and just couldn't stop him enough.
I ran into the ASU Cheerleaders on my way in the stadium. Oh, to be a young man again!
