2026 concerts

Luke Combs coming to Jack Trice for his next tour

It's been a busy few weeks. Turnstile, Rickshaw Billies Burger Patrol, Marc Rebillet.

For my wife's birthday we are going to see the Eagles at the Sphere this weekend. I know those guys are in their 70's but there is just too much great music to pass up.

Saw Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace at the Casey's Center (feels weird typing that) last week. BB was good but I though TDG stole the show - so much more energy.

I grabbed very reasonably priced secondary market tickets for Paul McCartney today. I always say I don't want to hear old men try to sing their old songs, but this is different. He's maybe the greatest songwriter of the 20th century and a freaking Beatle. Looking forward to this maybe last chance to see a Beatle in person. I also like the fact that this is in an arena and not a stadium like almost all his other shows.

Great Concert tonight!

Opened with Help! and ended with Carry That Weight.

So, I have seen Paul 3 times now:

1990 @ Cyclone Stadium in Ames.
2011 @ G.A.B.P. in Cincinnati
2025 @ Casey's Center in Des Moines

Just an incredible 2.5 hour show by a musical treasure.

My wife is dragging me to the In This Moment concert at Vibrant tomorrow night. She got the tickets for free and wants to check out the venue. Hopefully we will not stay long after that lol, they most definitely do not seem like my type of band.
Have seen multiple shows there, its a really great venue. Lots of clean bathroom space and plenty of places to get a refreshment.
Nice parking lot, easy to get onto interstate after.

It looks really nice- we had tickets to the Black Crows concert that got moved and my wife didn't check her notifications so we missed the new date. Glad it wasn't me that missed that lol, I would have been in trouble.

Anyone seen a show at that big arena in Omaha? I assume it’s like most arenas. Seeing Mumford there next weekend. Any tips on a place to grab a bite nearby before hand?

It is right next to where the college world series is, there are a bunch of restaurants within walking distance of the arena.

Saw Mumford at Xcel Center (Or whatever it is called now) in St. Paul last week. Excellent Show. The Omaha Arena is within walking distance of the Old Market. My wife and I like to eat at Spaghetti Works, wish they never shut that one down in Des Moines.

Omaha also has a concert venue that is very similar to Vibrant called Steelhouse Omaha. (Like it was probably the same company, they have the same drinks/food etc) that is in that same area. We saw Glass Animals there. Stay in the Old Market area and walk. We stayed at the Embassy which was nice.

My first time seeing Paul. Surreal experience to be singing Hey Jude along with the legend who created it. Incredible experience!

Easy walk & you can also park there for a reasonable price. Usually have a limited menu when there is an event scheduled, but good food & plenty of workers. Never had a bad experience here. I would recommend getting there early if you want to get a parking spot.

Parking: There is a large lot directly to the east of the building, which is usually free during non-event times. (There will be a charge on event days)

Hilton Omaha is close by & there is a skywalk to CHI Arena there in case of cold weather or you don't want to wait outside..CHI Arena is a great venue for concerts imo.

Lots of other eating establishments in the area as well. Enjoy the concert!

It was just a great. show that he gave, the audience was rocking the entire 2.5 hours. Place was packed and people were in line early to get inside. I bet we waited a good 30 minutes to get inside the arena. Well worth it.
The worst part was I didn't know that the event center now has prepaid parking and the lot to the north of the arena was sold out, but we did find parking 3 or 4 blocks to the north for $10 bucks.

Saw Cage the Elephant at Vibrant last night. Was really impressed with their energy and sound, great show.

Vibrant is really a great venue, not really a bad seat in the place. We sat in the last row in the back and could see everything. We’ve done the premiere parking in the past but opted for the general lot last night and it really wasn’t much difference other than it being half the price. Only took 5-10 minutes to get out of the lot afterwards.

Saw Cage the Elephant at Wells Fargo a couple years ago. Agree they put on a great show. It didn't sell out. So smaller venue like Vibrant would be great. Love Vibrant, Don't like that it is far from where we live in Ankeny and the ticket prices are pretty high. We saw Vertical Horizon, KT Tunstall and Toad the Wet Sprocket there a few weeks ago.

They've actually got a couple! The Astro is an indoor/outdoor amphitheater that uses its space incredibly well.
