I think he could crush it overseas, based on last year I'm not sure GM's saw ability to play defense in the NBA. If he shows improvements on that end this season he could very well find a role.I get the Milan hype and think he'll be a very good pro.
This issue was super-relevant for the period last year when Curtis was out sick.We need Heise and Lipsey to hit around the 35%+ mark this year so that defenses don't just collapse to stop Jefferson and only focus on Milan from deep. Heise started to show flashes of that last year which gives me optimism there.
Creighton fans can be confident that if they'd played their starters more that the score may have been different, that's reasonable. I'm definitely confident that if we weren't missing our All-American point guard / best perimeter defender, and if our two true freshmen playing 23% of the minutes had a little more experience, the score would be different. That is what Creghton was saying on their post game podcast… and I think I’m interested to hear what our fans who saw the game think… thus, my question.
TaminWhich threat from 3 would you hsve preferred last night?
I have been scanning major sports sites all day to run the story - really one of the biggest in the country this season. Haven't seen anything yet. Not sure how you overlook an early matchup of two Top 25 teams where one absolutely obliterates the other in biggest upset of the year.Didn’t watch. Someone give me TLDR version. I assume the little bit of drama and pissbaby reactions is overblown.
Two words. . Georges Niang!!I think he could crush it overseas, based on last year I'm not sure GM's saw ability to play defense in the NBA. If he shows improvements on that end this season he could very well find a role.
If Milan averages 20+ a night this year like Niang did in college that’s a different story. Two words. . Georges Niang!!
Kewl @Malone - Glad it's a dumb post. Hook me up with analysis/articles from someone other than Creighton/ISU reports! That is, if you can take time from sucking your thumb in the corner with your blanket.I have been scanning major sports sites all day to run the story - really one of the biggest in the country this season. To me, worrying about a scrimmage is a waste of time. It was the first time this team (who has 9 newcomers) has played against someone else. They were on the road, without their senior, All American PG, starting a true freshman, playing against an opponent who has made the tourney 5 straight years, this year will be the 6th, and we’ll face in a month. To me, comments like this are always amongst the most worthless in threads.
Granted - the comment about not being able to wait until Milan is gone is indeed dumb. Beyond that I’m seeing mostly valid concerns.
It’s a sports forum. Concerns over a blowout loss will happen. It’s ok. Join the conversation by debating the results instead of mocking those with opposing views.

I expect us to drop out of the Top 25 on the next set of polls.Kirk and crew couldn't shut up about how Tamin's absence was really evident this morning on CGD.
I have actually thought a 4 team, alternate city arrangement would be amazing. The four teams: Creighton, Nebraska, Drake and ISU. Alternate between Des Moines and Omaha, each out of state team alternates playing each other every other year. Heck, it would be fun just for a 2 year run.Why don't we play these guys in the regular season every year? I think it would be a fun rivalry. Good quality opponent thats literally a 2 hour bus ride down the road so it seems it would be relatively cheap for the athletic department in terms of travel. Beats the hell out of playing the games against obscure small conference schools that don't make your team better. Id like to think our program is in a place where we aren't afraid to play anyone.
