Creighton exhibition discussion (see post 178 for Jake's link)

Well that raised my eyebrows a little. Hoping Batemon is 100% healthy.

It's looking like we may be 10 deep this year (when Lipsey returns). I won't pretend to know half as much as TJ does, but if I were the coach, I'd leverage that depth and turn our incredibly intense defense up even another a notch or two.

Toure is a PG, and with Tamin injured, Toure is his backup. Batemon will play a significant role, and I think he'll be starting in Heise's place soon.

Good for Nater to "come back" and win the starting spot, though.

I would imagine the two of them are close.

Maybe Batemon hit a bit of a wall -- happens to freshmen.

Maybe Heise got a bit of his mojo back as a senior leader. Again, happens.

I don't doubt both play a good deal.

Remember the last time Freeman (Creighton's transfer center from Iowa) played against Iowa State? Remember how exhausted he was? Yeah, that was awesome!

I imagine the ideal offense for this team in the half court is going to be a lot of Lipsey/Jefferson pick and roll to initiate the offense with Mommy/Heise/Batemon spotting along the perimeter. Should be a tough offense to defend.
