Iowa State earns commitment from 2026 QB Kase Evans

Do you actually remember the program BEFORE Campbell? FFS, now, if we don't go 10-2, we are disappointed. Before CMC, we were happy for 8-4. He's got nothing to prove.
I should have said, by a lot more, I meant winning Big 12 title or two. Agree, he doesn't have much else to prove HERE. Just don't see a major program asking him to come aboard until he "proves it" under major circumstances.

‘22? Seriously?
Relative to ISU historically. I was thinking of '21 though. That was Purdy's last year right?

For fun though:
Noel
Hutchinson
McDonald
Porter
Dekkers (debatable)
Orange
Cooper
Verdon
Likely a TE I'm just not sure on the classes of current guys on the team
Jontez?

Probably a few I'm forgetting

I figured it was ‘21 the OP was thinking about, too. The problem with that team was, they’d already hit all their realistic marks with pounding the Ducks in the Fiesta Bowl, and all those seniors just didn’t have the same hunger.

A problem it looks like the ‘26 Cyclones aren’t going to have.

Ya idk if it was motivation. Didn't most of those guys come back to do more?

I love Campbell and I appreciate everything he's done here, but I hate this argument. The schedule we play now doesn't even come close to comparing to those schedules at the end of the CPR era.

A lot of talent for ISU, laughable for a blue blood.

I can't recall. Did we have any NFL talent on

Yes, my goof. 21 was the huge expectation season with all that senior talent.

Agree. An 8-4 year would be considered magical pre-Campbell.

Campbell would do just fine at a wealthy school (e.g., sec, big). One can ony hope he wants to stay here. He likes it here and is appreciated here. If he were to go to a Blue Blood program, if offered, he might get fired after 3-4 years going 8-4 or 7-5.
