*** 2025 Week 7 (Oct. 8 - Oct. 11) CFB Games Thread ***

Welcome to the FBS Missouri State and Wednesday night football. They play 3 consecutive weeks on Wednesday.

Missouri State 22, Middle Tennessee 20.

And Liberty leading UTEP 19-8 in the 4th.

Wednesday Night Ball at its finest.

Whatever happened to MACtion? Used to be some decent midweek games.

It’s coming. They spend September cashing checks for playing at big 10 and sec schools while trying to fit it one or two home cupcakes for the local fans and bowl eligibility.

Play some homecoming games against each other through mid-October and then ***** yourself out for 3-4 weeks of Maction.

Is there a long term plan by these conferences to stop playing midweek games? They completely stunt any fan growth and you are only getting eyes of football sickos. NIU had the right idea escaping to the MW

If the NCAA had any teeth they could enforce the requirement to have an average attendance of 15,000. Link

I guess they think the tv money and exposure they get from doing it outweighs just having a few thousand people in the stands for some of these games as well as a lot of times playing when it's damn cold at night.

Who do you think is watching on Saturdays when other conferences are playing? These conferences need exposure. Tuesday and Wednesday nights are the only opportunity for that exposure.

I don’t know what the plan is for whether they are planning on a full schedule or just a single showcase game long term, but it seems they should always have a premiere game on during the week to get their brand out there.

I understand the want to have more eyeballs on their programs, but it has not translated into more fans for these teams. Maybe more fans isn't their goal.

I wonder what their deal would be without MACtion they get ~ $2million each.

Without MACtion? Far, far less than $2M.

Lets see if East Carolina can keep it close at Tulane tonight.

Could be an important one for the Group of 5 Playoff bid tonight. USF @ North Texas on ESPN2 at 6:30 pm.

Wow USF defender almost made a very stupid move trying to taunt North Texas before going into the endzone.
