It’s one of the jobs I believe Campbell would take
His buyout is $50M. They’re disappointed now, but I don’t see them firing him this year. His seat might be pretty hot next season though.
I also think it’s 50/50 Wisconsin fires Fickell. Depending if they can raise enough from donors for that buyout. That’s probably more of a threat for Campbell
I’m not worried about Wisconsin at all. If he leaves it’s for a place you can win a natty
Yeah I'm not sure if another fixer upper would be appealing and from WI's side they may look at someone with closer ties to the program.
Leipold should be the next Wisconsin coach if he wants it.
I think so...I've mentioned Liepold before and he's 61 but is from the state and was a grad assistant in the early Barry years.
Maybe it would be his grand finale to build the program back from 'inside' before passing it off and retiring.

Agreed. The new B1G has turned places like Wiscy and Iowa into bad jobs. You have added several programs that are at a higher tier than places like Wisconsin, and eliminated the weaker division so there is nowhere to hide. There is no path to a playoff bid at these places, but the fans have been used to recent successes so will be prone to becoming restless. The next coaches up here are setup for failure.
That loss to winless UCLA is going to kill Penn State. That's their second loss already and they have yet to beat a P4 team. Who knows, their AP ranking could drop as low as #10.
