We were just walking by the venue while sound check was going on. Gonna be great! Tickets still available.I couldn’t convince @Mr Janny we needed to go. The timbre of Matt’s voice legit gives me chills. I hope you guys have an incredible time!

Any Minneapolis Fanatics going to Farm Aid 40 today? Looks like a great lineup
I was wanting to see him in Dallas last week but James Taylor was in Ft Worth on the same night and the wife is a huge James Taylor fan so the wife won out. Also a great show but I’ve really been wanting to see Father John. Next timeFather John Misty was great last night at Val-Air!

My wife had me check out the prices for Kenny Wayne Shepherd at Hoyt Sherman next May, $145-$328 per ticket which made her butt pucker. Too bad, that should be a good one
It was a great show for sure.Definitely understand seeing James Taylor, as I can’t imagine he would tour too much longer!
For sure see FJM when you can! Two of my favorites are “Mr Tillman” and “Goodbye Mr Blue,” and both were awesome. I think the most powerful ones live, though, were “When You’re Smiling and Astride Me” and “Screamland.”
That is a GREAT way to describe him! He's so pithy and smooth, and his lyrics are just so clever. That's part of the reason I love "Goodbye Mr Blue" so much - telling the story of a relationship ending through the corresponding death of a cat? It's just smart writing. It was a great show for sure.
I keep trying to describe FJM to folks who aren't familiar with his work, and I keep coming back to this: The ideal lounge singer at the edge of the apocalypse.
No idea he was with Fleet Foxes! Good band with a couple great songs IMO. I had a ticket to see them in Omaha a couple years ago but ended up not being able to go.That is a GREAT way to describe him! And a fair number of people don't realize he was drummer for Fleet Foxes, and that he's written for Beyonce and Lady Gaga, among others. He's just super smart.
Hope the show was good. Not a fan of the venue.
