*** Official Milwaukee Brewers 2025 thread ***

At this point I'd be more worried about the Phillies taking the top seed. Division is a wrap.

Wouldn't you rather face the Dodgers then the Cubs or Padres in the divisional round? Milwaukee has always had the Dodgers number. If that's the case, losing the top seed isn't that bad of a thing. As a Cubs fan, I'm hoping you guys get the top seed as I don't want to see Philly in the NLDS.

I'd rather face Cubs. Dodgers far more proven in post-season and Cubs bats can go into sleep mode quite frequently. Also other than Horton, other starters (Imanaga & Boyd) are not pitching well at the moment.

Fair point. Hopefully we both get what we want. I just would have figured the Brewers didn't really care if they don't get the top seed.

Two Cub fans talking Brewers baseball? Since there are no other Brewer fans here........appreciate the company. Doesn't matter who or where the Brewers play, with Quintana down, Mcgill down ?.....and Miz losing his mojo, it's going to be tough haul whoever we play.

I am ready for that small letter e next to the standings of the cardinals. With these injuries this is setting up for another early exit and I have no doubt the cardinals would win in a playoff series

Good to clinch, the best of the central again.

Since that line has now been crossed......need to finish with the best record in the National league and/or MLB entirely. Because with three pitching studs (Quintana, Mcgill, Woodruff) out for a week or two.......need that home field advantage.

Brewers pitching is what it is with the injuries. The offense on the other hand......has gone back to what they were doing in April and May when they were struggling. Especially with men on base. Watching way too many good pitches and swinging at way too many bad pitches.

Also.......one thing Murphy did during the hot streak was put Felick at lead off. That point was made quite a bit. He changed that and they have become fairly domestic. Haven't heard anyone ask him or a reason why he changed.

Good win today. A couple of things............Nick Mears makes me nervous every time he takes the mound and Ortiz needs to stop watching belt high middle off the plate pitches.

I have no idea what Murphy is doing. Cincinnati is playing for their playoff lives.....and Milwaukee needs one more win to get home field throughout the playoffs. And he is trotting out Gasser as a starter? The guy is a great pitcher, but he just coming off a huge injury and needs some throwing time coming out of the pen before you drop him into the fire. You are not going to play a playoff game until Oct. 4th anyway. Why not throw Peralta and try to get the win? Who is Philly playing.....the Twins. They are more than likely going to sweep them. You better start acting like you want the home field Murph or Milwaukee will not be the #1 seed come Sunday night.

After 6 months and 162 games the smallest market team with a bunch of no names are,

Best in the central.......again,
Best in the National League,
Best in the majors.

Don't know what will happen with these 5 and 7 game series coming up, like any post season it's all a crap shoot. But it's been a season to remember.

Been a hell of a season. I don't like how things are setup for the postseason though. That 20 games in 19 days or whatever it was really drained the team. Not even sure who we have available for pitchers.

Right now the only starters are Peralta and Priester. Don't know if Quintana and Woodruff will be available and Miz has to stop throwing.....and learn how to pitch. It's too bad Gasser hasn't had more time, he is going to be a good one. With Mcgill coming back I think the bullpen will be okay although like I said before, Mears and Koenig make me nervous when they take the mound.

They don't get those two starters back by Oct. 4th..........it's going to be more than tough.

Sounds like Ashby is starting game 2. I am guessing this means Quintana isn't quite ready, or this is going to be a 2/3 inning start for Ashby then go to Priester. Like they did earlier in the year when Hall would go for a couple of innings, then bring in the starter. Worked then, might now as well. Thing about Ashby is there is no middle ground it seems. He's either very, very good........or can't find the plate. Murph is a good coach......I hope he knows what he is doing. Don't want to lose that home advantage. Blows when two starters are out with injury. Hope Chourio isn't dinged too bad.

The Brewers survive this with Ashby starting..............then maybe it just might be our year.

Mears coming in this soon...............we are in trouble. I take it then Priester is going game 3. Cubs, you don't win this I don't know what to tell you.
