***2025 ISU FB injury thread discussion***

Really hope this BYE week helped him and others like Gabe Burkle heal.
ISU isn't decimated or anything, but clearly dinged up after the first four games.
Konrardy’s GF posted a TikTok saying he’s out for 4-6 weeks.
Follow up- She did follow up with a comment saying the timeline isn’t accurate (which I still think it is). She posts light hearted stuff with Kyle all the time and it just kind of confirmed what we knew of his injury
Hope we go on 4th down more often especially when the FG attempt would be 40+ yards.
We go on 4th down pretty damn often.
Well, I guess if it's 4 hopefully, then 2 weeks will be done heading in to the Arizona game. So, low end he misses maybe 3 games? We can deal with that.
What about Gilbert the kicker, he's been out too for a while.

Ryver Peppers, Gilbert and Moberly have been out all season. Hope they can get some plays in.
Chase Smith pride of North Scott, literally, he was the star QB, and now he is our starting kicker. (He can hit 40 and in for sure)
Kickoffs might be interesting too. Can Smith kick it deep, or will ISU decide to kick it high and short and give the kickoff coverage time to make the tackle.
I will say, the kickoff coverage has been good so far this year. They made Iowa's Wetjen look pretty average the whole game. He has scored twice now in the last two games.
4th and 5 or under outside the 25 yard line. gotta go for it! At least Campbell and the coaches have two weeks to formulate a plan of attack. Anytime we hit 3rd down between the plus 40 and plus 25 yard lines, Campbell and Mouser will attack it like they have two downs to get the first down.
