JTS Improvements - Want More

Trees on the East end of A4 are barely hanging on. A bunch look like they'll be dead after winter.

Painting lines, took down the fence, spreading soil for landscaping.

I guess they have three weeks to make progress before worrying about tailgaters again, huh?

It's a petty complaint that I thought was dumb, but they were right. Extremely lame for Iowa to time their entrance with ours. Watching on TV, Kirk gave his guys the sign to go right when the Thunderstruck intro hit its crescendo. Good ear out of Kirk, but obviously intentional. I don't know, maybe that's a normal thing for road teams, but it just wreaks of Hayden Fry BS.

That's basically what every single road team does.

Kirk has ALWAYS done that in JTS. Its his way to say FU to the fans. Knows fans have to either cheer for ISU entering or boo Iowa, which means not cheering for ISU. Kirk is about as soft as they come.

I dont see too many others doing it, but I always see Iowa do it.
Yeah go look at last years entrances against Baylor and UCF on YouTube. They did not run out at the same time as us. Literally only Iowa does it. We need to time our runout at Kinnick when they enter the field. This is probably their way of getting back at us for wearing the color black.

Nah, Kirk was doing this before we started wearing black, he has always been a pompous jackass, and as soft as a marshmallow.

They took down the fences, painted the lots, landscaped in and around both, and got all the light poles up.

You know tailgaters will spill over. Did they sell those lots for the year? Every dollar counts!

Set the fence up around the base of the building now.

The steel framework looks just about complete now.

You can now see the outline, at the top south, of the penthouse suites where senior partners will watch the games, over the top of the Jacobson Building.

Welp, the lot next to McFarland looks open for business. Anyone in the know have any ideas on the donors that selected that lot? Where did those donors tailgate before since they were closed off?

I would find it hard to believe that they will be wide open the rest of the year with kids throwing a football around or folks playing cornhole.

@cytor (reply didnt quote you)

It would be those that have B5 the way it looks.

They may not have sold it this year, not sure.

They may just use it as overflow from one or more of the adjacent lots, or possibly sell singles, or use it for something/someone else the rest of this year?

I would think they have been sold, perhaps as singular games. Too good a real estate to leave that wide open.

So... Being the rube that I am, I took it upon myself to call ISU and ask about B5.

They basically said, it will be blocked off from tailgaters for the rest of this season. They indicated that some ISU staff might park there for now. It sounds like it will be wide open for kiddos to throw a football around or something like that, but I guess we will see next week for sure what will happen. She didn't seem to have all the details, but she was pretty adamant that no tailgating donors will be using it for the time being.

I've also been told they have tried to buy the haunted forest, but its been a no from the owners.

Iowa state owns the land Coldwater has holes 2-8 on to the east of the RV village. Future plans for something there maybe and have it connect to the RV lots.
Does Iowa State only own the land those holes are on or ALL of the land that the golf course is on? I thought I heard in the past they owned all of the land but I have no idea what is accurate.
