Cracks in the B1G?

This is what every conference does when expanding. The B1G and SEC were just better positioned to take bigger brands/programs. If the Big 12 could've added UCLA, it would have in a heart beat and Big 12 fans would've been thrilled.
The only reason the Big 10 was in a better position was because they were predators.

I’ll say I agree maybe 50% with this. Houston is good at basketball and regional. That is why we valued them. I don’t think TV really wanted us to add any PAC. As displayed by us taking an paycut to get the four.

And if TV did, I assume they’d would want us to pursue Stanford and Cal aggressively, due to the DMAs they’re in. I don’t think either party had any interest in each other during expansion. Why would TV want us to get Utah? We already had the major player in the market with BYU.
That's basically Maryland in the B1G.

I never made that argument. They have several fan bases that suck unless things are going well. Just like every other league.
You just agreed “100%” with the assessment that the Big 10 added teams with bad fan bases.

No, it's because it had deeper pockets, more resources, better TV markets, a better media deal, it's own TV network...
Be more specific. it’s because they put Fox on the board. And Fox is a predator.

Couple reasons starting from the fact that Michigan has more money then just about anyone else so they don’t need it and more importantly Michigan wouldn’t want to do anything that helps OSU which this would.
Ahhhhh yes. The US is famous for insanely rich people, corporations, and entities saying “hey I’ve got enough money I don’t need this”

Yep, good news it’s a university not a cooperation or individual. It’s very much a not for profit entity
