It sucks we do not have the money to not schedule away games like this, but with NIL its going to be worse not better in the future. We got a win, now we can look forward to New Orleans in a couple of years.

Ah yes, I missed you brother. You can’t spell ridiculous but you think you know more about the AD finances than the guy who runs the department.
You really cannot be serious, there is a huge difference between destination games like Vegas, New Orleans or Ireland and a trip to Ohio or Arkansas St. Should a B12 team being traveling to a road game like this, nope, but we don't have the money to purchase home games like a B10 team. It's the world we live in.I trust that everyone complaining about the schedule setup didn't go to Vegas and won't go to New Orleans.
You know, since it's such a ****** deal.
But this game was scheduled in 2014. Was the going rate $1.5mil 11 years ago? Highly doubt it.Yep
If you only have the Arkansas State game in Ames in 2024, you have to give them $1.5 million; then you’d have to pay somebody else $1.5 million to take today’s game on your schedule.
If you don't schedule a home-and-home, then you need to pay another team to visit JTS the next year. So you have to pay $1.5M+ to two teams every year instead of $1.5M to one team a year.I think he's saying we pay them 1.5m to come here, fine. But he's not netting that out against a home game revenue. My guess is is it costs a little, but this 4m thing is just rediculous.
Read your first sentence. You can’t be serious. What's the expected value of a top 15 team sucking ass or losing in Arkansas? That's a different sort of analysis than the dollar and cents analysis that CPA's apply,
Toughest schedule in the country I've been told and you can't convince me otherwise.Honestly this issue with the schedule was the game in Ireland. (See KSU). That was a mentally and physically tired team today. Even the most optimistic of us knew 4-0 would be very difficult, but here we are.
2 years in a row evenHonestly this issue with the schedule was the game in Ireland. (See KSU). That was a mentally and physically tired team today. Even the most optimistic of us knew 4-0 would be very difficult, but here we are.
Not donating while we're willingly leaving six figures of annual alcohol revenue on the table. That's just insane.
It doesn't matter. He has to write real checks to pay the bills. Not perceived value checks. He has to stretch every dollar as far as he can because we are at a disadvantage compared to our peers. What's the expected value of a top 15 team sucking ass or losing in Arkansas? Its not crap unless we raise season ticket prices for the extra game. Also, maybe we called the wrong week, El Assico. Just glad to get the win, no one will care in a few weeks if we keep winning. Years past would have lost that fiasco. Seem to play a lot of nonstarters for the heat and experience. Almost bit us but has paid off in the past when second string steps in ready after an injury. Hopefully Konrady recovers fully, huge loss if not. That crap about us saving millions from not having a home game??? BS.
We used to drop 2 games early on our slow season starts then not lose in Brocktober. Give me 4-0 and Roctober.2 years in a row even
At least with Bowling Green, could be a help in recruiting with the staffs connections in Ohio. When we played at Akron in 2017, I think it was said the night before is when they really fell in love with Mike Rose watching him in person.Looking at ISU future schedules. FCS opponent is scheduled until at least 2031. The first G5 open slot is in 2031. 2 Bowling Green, 2 Tulane and 1 UNLV. The P4 non con game with Iowa is scheduled through 2027. Assuming the Iowa game is renewed, the first open non con game will be 2031, 5 seasons from now vs a to be determined G5 opponent.
