Cyhawk postgame thread

Some other good Hok posts on social media:
Kirk is an egotistical narcissist who reigns in mediocrity and I’m sure is the laughing stock of inner coaching circles.
Iowa State is definitely a team that has a better image nationally and also a program that enjoys much more positive coverage from national media as well as non-Iowans on the internet.
Kirk Should have asterisk saying this:
**coached Big Ten West so half of the wins were against cupcakes and shouldn’t count.
A few say Iowa State was “lucky”, but not many say Iowa deserved to win.
And ALL. want Kirk gone. This is probably the best day of reading Iowa Hok fans comments since social media begun.

I will always go back to this: Iowa was more willing to put $3 million into two lousy quarterbacks the last three years than putting half of that into women’s basketball and giving them a chance to get two or three natties when CC was there. They had a golden opportunity that they flushed down the toilet.

Probably the best social media Hok fan comment:
The difference between having a confident quarterback and a basket case

One of the things that Kirk said this week that went under the radar on all the media was that he “hopes” that after he’s gone the AD will hire someone from his staff.
That means that it’s either a buyout, he stays for the duration or they do what he says. Kirk is holding the university hostage in more ways than one.

Anyone interested in a good Iowa take on the game, I recommend Rob Howe’s podcast about the game. Howe and Morehouse with a fair view imo

Indiana just got a berth

It’ll be dependent on the schedule. Like Indiana, there’s a good chance TV networks won’t have Iowa playing a lot of top brands

They should go after Pat Fitzgerald
yep it's about schedule. Indiana's strength of schedule last year was 68th. I wonder if a Big 12 schools would ever get in with that SOS?

Some of the better posts on social media from Hok fans
1. Iowa has become the meme of college football, so why would kids want to go there.
2. Beth has enough $ for a buyout.
3. Brent Bielema was mentioned by more than one.
4. Fans have come to the realization that realignment and NIL will make Iowa a bottom feeder in the Big 10.
I hope Bret got the job. He's a big ass and it would be a pleasure to kick his ass for years.

I don't know, he is a pretty a good coach. I think he would be a good hire for them.
I'm seriously wondering after Arky if he just stays put. The pressure at Illinois cant be very high and he's settling in nicely.

(With that, watch Sconnie want to bring him back.)

Why would Bret want the Iowa job? He is in Illinois with a lot of amazing athletes and no one to recruit against in state.
While technically not in state, Notre Dame is right next door and a big deal in Illinois

Did anyone else think that last kneel down snap was taken too early? If there would’ve been a fumble, Iowa would have had enough time to run a few plays to get in FG range. Yes, I know their offense sucks, but still
