Lost to what is expected to be the worst SEC team. I think it's valid honestly, they looked like **** for 3/4 of that game. Really bad look for the big 12 that the champ can't beat last year's 2 win SEC tean
Notre Dame was #6 and they barely lost at Miami who is currently #5. They didn't play this week. Where would you rank them?
Yeah, that's crap. But, Miss State isn't very good. At least they aren't supposed to be.

ASU going from 12 to unranked after losing a last minute road game to an SEC team shows you exactly what they will do to B12 teams this year and should scare the **** out of us. The only way into the playoffs is winning the conference championship. That’s it.
I agree with your point. Big XII is up against it in the Poll Game.
Meanwhile, there are still 55 Undefeated FBS teams, so any team that loses and drops out is valid at this point IMO.

This is why the ranking system needs to be flushed. No reason to have it with the playoffs other than to dictate and control who does and who doesn't make it.
Because Miss. St. isn't suppose to be any good.............ASU gets penalized big time. Why can't a loss be just a loss? Kansas City Chiefs lost their first game. They lose 2 more this year by using the college rules........they would have next to zero chance of making the playoffs. It's bulls***.
Let everyone start at 0...........and earn it. F what happened last year. F their name. F their conference.
I think this year is gonna show a lot of people that Venables was the #1 reason for that run they had. OU looks legit, while I think Clemson is gonna fall flat on face after all that preseason hype.

I watched the Oregon State loss to Fresno State yesterday. The Beavers took a beating. Texas Tech will annihilate them.
Beavers taking a beaten………will accept it.

Leavitt looked like he was shaving points out there. Seeing ghosts. His last interception looked completely unnatural. Threw it right to the MSU guy.
