There was absolutely nothing lucky about how Burkle went up and got that ball.

Need the wide receivers to get comfortable…quick.

I think the talent is there but the talent drop off from the Big 2 last year is evident. Had a couple of drop become catches this game probably would have been a lot more comfortable.

By the way, it is insane to me that you can't listen to John and Eric in Dubuque. Pretty sure you can in Iowa City for chrissakes

KGYM in Cedar Rapids carries Iowa State games, and I think that’s generally listenable in Iowa City.

Although it’s funny that KGYM also does Hawkeye pregame and postgame shows, even while they carry Cyclone games.

I watched the game in CR and was surprised how many ISU fans were out. It wasn't 90/10 like I expected but more like 70/30 Iowa.

Mostly all relief from me. We beat a 5-7 Iowa team playing not to lose. It felt like some of our UNI wins. Has no bearing on how we look the rest of the year, just fortunate to not pick up an extra loss.

Oh, and about the officials. Sneaky bad today. Seen worse that's for sure. But some of those ball spots, especially the first half were wth.

Did I miss something or did they not even mark off the penalty against Iowa after Wetjen was tackled at the 5?
