So I have dish. No ABC. I tried locast And of course every channel available works except for ABC. At night I can get a picture, but no sound. During the day, I get no picture and no sound.
With YouTube TV, I see the free trial is available. Looks like it is 2 weeks. How do you cancel? Can you do it from the computer, or do you have to call them? Can you only do the free trial once?

For ABC OTA are you using 5.1 or 5.5? 5.5 has a much stronger signal.

In regards to YTTV, you don't have to call anyone. You can sign up for the free trial online and cancel online without talking to anyone. You're limited to one free trial per email account.

I don't use an antenna. I had DirecTV for over 20 years and they didn't have locals in Sioux City. I spent about $500 to have an antenna mounted in the attic and it was basically useless. Not long after that DirecTV got the locals here. Then they started the same bs about cutting channels so I switched to Dish. Within 2 weeks Dish cut Fox regional sports channels and they have never come back. I still have 7 months on the Dish 2 year deal. Sioux City sucks for trying to get OTA signals.

I have a $75 antenna I bought 10 years ago and it sits behind my TV. Works great.

If you have a smart tv, download the ESPN app and sign in with your dish info.

Or get a Roku stick on the cheap, think they're about $40.

I just tested out our Amazon Fire TV to make sure the ESPN app was playing the ABC games and it is. So I'm set for next weekend even though I'm not happy about not being able to use the DirecTV DVR functionality in this game. I haven't watched a commercial during a sporting event in a long, long time.

I’m gonna take a guess that if he says he’s not savvy with how to watch espn online, that he probably doesn’t have a smart tv.

Ive helped plenty of people with new TVs that didn’t know what they were doing. A coworker just moved into a million dollar plus home and had no idea you could get streaming TV or use apps on them. I pushed him to YouTube TV and helped him setup ESPN plus for the ISU bball games.

I've been doing this for years. No TV package of any type, other than the local basics that come with my internet package, but for whatever reason that doesn't include ABC.

Log into the WatchESPN app and sign in with my internet/TV provider credentials to make an account and it allows me to watch ESPN3 content, which includes the ABC broadcast.

And actually last night, I learned I can watch games ESPN if I choose the "target command center" broadcast with all the stats and stuff.
